Just read from the Forum page of Straits Times dated 20 Apr that another company has met the same fate as the above post.
It seems that this type of company has built a reputation with CASE and CIA on their type of business dealing. I have also checked with other friends who have received similar faxes and all of them agreed that they were unware that it is a chargeable advertisement that costs more than $4000 a year. Worse of all, you have to pay for not only 1 year, but 2 years of $4000 each.
I have never seen such an expensive advertisement deal without any follow-up of artwork or communication from the advertising company. All it takes is a mistake of not reading the fine print.
Since many people have complained about it, why can't the authorities do something about it? At the minimal, issue a warning letter to the advertising company to enlarge the fine print.
Shui Jiao Mian! Thats my favourite. The stall is the first one you will noticed as it has a faithful following of office & factory workers. Recommended this shrimp dumpling noodles because of its generous filling. A whole piece of prawn is wrapped with minced meat to form the dumpling. And if you ordered the dried version of noodles, the sambal chillie will give you a ump kick in the mouth. Freshly fried pork lard can be added to give a nostaglic taste to the old 1970s.. A bit unhealthy but hey, we dont get to taste good food everyday. And the soup is jolly sweet too. The stall also sells fish ball and minced meat noodles.
We have tried this stall. Was quite impressed with the gravy. It was not starchy and was not made just by mixing black soya sauce with corn flour. We can really taste the lor sauce. The crispy flour ( or was it pork chop? ) was nice and the price is cheap considering that most places are selling it at $2.50. Also observed that almost all diners at this section of the hawker centre are eating lor mee too.
Freshly-baked muffins in foodcourt at Ubi Techpark. Owner said that they believe in giving quality than quantity. Flavours available are double chocolate, cheese, blueberries, bananas, etc. Once in a while, they will introduce new flavours like cranberries, walnut, etc. They will produce enough to sell which means they dont want to keep any leftovers. Once an item is sold out, then thats all for the day. What I like is that it is not too sweet unlike those found in some popular cafes. Price about $1 to $1.20 depending on flavour and special promo on every Friday : Buy 5 and get 1 free!! They also have other side orders like salad, hotdog sandwich, etc. I strongly recommend muffin lovers to give a try. So far, my customers from Malaysia have pre-ordered their flavours and collect it before going back on the same day. By the way, name of stall : LOVE BITES
Pancake lovers, try this out!! The pancakes sold in Prima Deli are freshly made each time you place an order.
They are soft and not so sweet compared to those found at other bakeries. Most importantly, their texture remain the same even after a few hours being left exposed.
Yummy.... even young children and old folks commented on their quality.
