Was really looking for some chinese food in Paragon, but due to the extremely long queue, i decided to try out some thai food instead. Although the queue wasnt that long, but still i have to wait for at least 20 mins before i get my table.

I believe their menu has since changed the last time i patronize them. More varieties of food were in their menu this time. I believe most of the foods sold were cater mainly to the 'singaporean taste'. But fear not if you are looking for some 'thai taste', cause they have one section of bangkok street favorites in their menu.

Reading the menu was pretty simple, although most of the food were being represented in thai, they were accompanied by the english description. The beautiful pictures indeed gave me a much better idea on the food. Due to the lots more varieties, i look more than 15 mins before i can finally decide what to order.

Foods that i have tried include the honey chix rice, phai thai in seafood version, mango salad and tang hoon ball soup. For desert wise, it includes the sweet steam topiaca and the red bean dessert. They also have laksa, curries and wraps which i did not try them this time round.

I pretty like the honey chix rice. Although the portion is not as big as i have expected, the chicken taste pretty decent and juicy. One will be able to taste the fragrant honey taste in each chicken slices. As for the phad thai, it comes in three version, the seafood, the beef and the chicken (i think). I choose the seafood one, thinking the orignal phad thai comes with seafood.

To my dismay, the seafood tasted pretty 'hard'. Especially the cuttlefish, which i use pretty much effort to chomp them down. If one is not very concern about its seafood 'hardness', you can still try this dish out as its glass noodles tasted reasonably ok.

One of the most interesting dish will definitely have to be the tang hoon ball soup, as each of its ball are the size of a smaller version of the tennis ball. Of course, given the size, one cannot expect to have many of them in this dish. The texture of these meat balls was just right, making it not too hard nor soft. Together with the super sweet soup, it managed to enhance the entire dish, bringing it to a higher level.

Choose some of their specialty desserts, which includes the red bean and the tapioca. The steamed tapioca was pretty firm and hard, giving one a chewy chewy kind of feeling with every mouthful. Personally, i would pretty a less diluted coconut milk over the cube size tapioca.

The red bean dessert tasted ok and rather sweet. Intially i expected little red beans, but instead what welcome me was red bean paste. This paste proved to sweet for my liking. Together with the coconut ice cream, the red bean taste is abit too enpowering.

Overall, the dining experience was pretty ok. But being seated in a far corner, it proves to be harder to alert some of the staffs. Queue management wise was not a too-good experience, at one time they simply gave seats to the group at the back of the queue without informing the front people of their decision. I believe their service has roome for improvement.

Mc Cafe is basically one of the newest coffee joint in singapore. Items that were offered in Mc Cafe were pretty similar as compared to other coffee joint, to name a few, it offers the cheese cakes, brownies, muffins and not forgetting coffee and tea. Price wise, their coffee and cakes are generally much afforable and cheaper.

Taking an example of their muffin which cost around 2.50 singapore dollars. Generally, they offer three different flavours of muffin and out of these three, i took the liking for their banana walnut muffin. Personally, i feel that both banana and walnut are just rather simple ingredients and to turn them into delicious muffin is not easy.

Always when i ask for the banana walnut muffin in other bakaries, the muffin that i get has either too strong of a banana smell or the walnut will have blended too well with the flour. For the Mc Cafe's banana walnut muffin, its neither the case, one can still be able to taste the banana strong smell and bit onto some walnut bits, giving a strong aroma and crunchiness for the muffin.

Have also tried their blended coffee, which cost around 5 singapore dollars for the large size. Being serve in the tall glass, definitely makes one feel different when being serve in the plastic cups. However, the coffee wise may not have a strong enough and lasting aroma. Somehow, i felt the drink was abit too dilute with too many ice being blended into the drink.

Overall, it was really a good experience in Mc cafe. Their staffs were pretty attentive in little details (they even wrote the word 'enjoy' on my plate) and also warmed up the muffin for me. Although, their muffins may not have a nice appearance and neither does it has a 'hugh' size like some, they taste reasonally good enough.

Was feeling abit of hungry while walking along orchard road, thus decided to drop by takashimaya food square to see if theres any nice stuff to eat. There were quite a few varieties of food available in food square. From kaya toast to tori balls to pancakes, yam cakes and even breads with different fillings.

Out of all these yummy foods, one of the most attractive item will have to be the japanese pancakes - Oban Yaki. I always have the liked japanese stuffs, thus this stall is a must visit for me. Never did i expect, there are also quite abit of people who loved the japanese pancakes.

Based on the queue, it certainly took me some time to get my hands onto the japanese pancakes. But, all the time and waiting is really worth for the exchange of hot pancakes just out of the pan.

There are basically two different patterns of pancakes available in the stall. The first is shaped like a fish and the other is the normal round pancakes. Fillings wise, there are quite a few varieties too, but the most popular ones will have to be the red bean and the creamy cheese version.

I tried the creamy cheese pancakes and i can only say its simply marvellous. With sufficient amount of cheese fillings stuffed in the middle of two parts of pancakes, one can experience cheese in every mouth of the pancakes.

Not only that, the hot pipping pancakes is not too big nor too small to fill one's stomach. Its crispy outer layer and soft inner layer, together with the creamy cheese filling, will not makes one feel to dry nor tired for another piece.

Overall, i can say that these pancake is definitely one of the best that i have tried so far. Service wise, the staffs were pretty friendly and are willing to reply your questions and serve one with a smile. Thumbs up.

Department store sure gives one the feeling of 'everything'. Everything that you would like to have, they should have them too. Indeed, from apparels to beauty products to even food, tangs vivocity have them all.

Was shopping at the tangs vivocity - beauty products section with my gf on this particular day. She was looking at some of the beauty products from one particular counter, when the sales rep put down her work and walked over to her. Well, a pretty nice gesture i can say, as this will makes the customer feel important.

After which, the sales rep start to talk about the advantages of the particular product and the ways to use it. She even place some of the sample for my gf to try and feel the texture and smell. As the product is relatively new, my gf asked a couple of questions to really understand the porducts. Surprisely, the sales rep is not at all annoyed and instead explained each questions carefully.

Being satisfied with the product, my gf decided to make a purchase. The sales rep even offered to bring over to the cashier and wrap it up for her. A very good customer service that serves the customer from the beginning up till the end where the product is being purchased.

Indeed, i am very impressed with their great service. :)

At around 9pm, where most of the dinner crowd and diners have completed their meals, i am still at novena square looking for food to eat. :P Guess, it would be rather difficult to find food (not too expensive kind) at this point of time.

Surprising when i reached the outlet, there are still couple of diners having their dinner. Thinking that i may still have a chance to order some food, i quickly browse through their menu. They offered quite a wide variety of food, from sandwiches to western chicken chop to even asian congee. But, i guess the most worth your money meal will have to be their set meal.

Their set meal are mostly in western style with a variety of meat that includes dory, chicken, beef, pork and even turkey. Beside the main dish, they also have a soup of the day, garlic bread, drink and dessert.

I had placed the order of a turkey breast set meal and at the point of sales, i was given the soup of the day, the drink and the dessert. A pretty nice gesture for someone who is real hungry. :)

The soup of the day was dark mushroom soup. Well, most of the time, the mushroom soup that we drank are using the light coloured mushroom. And, this dark mushroom tasted rather special, with a very nice fragrant, but it lacks the creamy taste the lighter mushroom has.

The garlic bread that comes along with the soup has a sufficient amount of garlic spread on it and tasted super crisy. Not only is the circumferenc of the bread crispy, the inner portion of the bread is also crispy. Every bite of the bread, will bound to have the 'crack crack' sound.

As for the main course, i find that their portion is pretty sufficient, accompanied with two sides. The two sides that i have is the mixed beans (sweet corn, carrot and peas) as well as the fries. As for the turkey breast, i find that it is pretty well done. Well done in the sense that, it is not over cooked, one will still be able to taste the juicness of the meat.

Overall, a pretty decent type of meal with a resonable price.
