If you like little trinkets then you must pop by Bellezasales facebook shop to check out the pretty ear studs, bracelets and everything else thats "OH SO IN !"...

One of the regular participants at fleas, i'm surprised to see the goods displayed change with the season and some of my favourites were the cute looking earrings that looked super duper pretty yet cost only a little. If you like korean fashion outfits, then you would enjoy their pretty dress and blouses.

Love the good variety, the good quality of the accessories as well as the fashionable choices of apparel selections. More with the good service and friendly chit chats with the owner of the store. Very enjoyable shopping experience and items were price worthy.. Got some great gifts for friends without burning my pocket.. :)

Check them out at their more permanent pop up outlets at JCube (J-Avenue) and Far East Shopping Centre...

If you are looking for that special gift to WOW your friends or something unique to place in your home then you MUST have one of Duttie-Pop's FAMOUS Pop Arts... Its pop arts of famous characters and legendary people with a piece of their thoughts in the form of short quotes...

I simply love the designs, the colours and the nice glossy texture framed into a compact square which came in 2 sizes and I hope more to come... New designs and characters are added through time yet my first love is still the Albert Einstein... His quote is one that depicts the crux of intelligence that we can never imagine how simple words combined together can bring such great meaning to be pondered upon.

Though some quotes by some characters don't quite make sense to me yet... i believe Man U fans of Liverpool fans will know exactly what the quotes mean...

Its a great gift for friends and makes a superb wall collection for your house... Am looking forward to clear a space on my wall for more of these beautiful pop arts... AMAZING...

Its a pretty Bizarre christmas flea. This time round... we had Anime Festival Asia held in-concurrent with the Blogshop Clearance 6 Sales Bazaar... and what more bizarre is for us to spot a super cute human sized Sailor Moon with hairy legs...

While we shopped and got shoved by crowds and crowds of anime enthusiasts, we got lots of fun taking pictures with these life-form inspired characters that look, sound and some smell like the actual anime characters they portray. The most amazing was when the inspired human character meets their POPART pieces at Duttie POP .

I must say of all the fleas and sales events I've gone to, this had to be the most fun. We also spotted some dressed up Japanese creatures of some kind and even a mermaid treading through the busy walkways of the flea booths trying to buy some pretty fashion and accessories while some just busy posing for cameras and secretly coveting the great bargains at the flea.

It actually felt a little warm this time round though partly because of the huge crowd that came so early, earlier then any of the stalls awoken and left much later after closing... The air was filled with excitement and laughter and I felt the management did a good job in listening to the request of the booth owners.

It rained heavily and the roof of suntec convention center actually leaked... while the pittle pattle got heavier, the organizer acted to shift the booths away and allocate them better locations and for some its a change of Feng Shui that gave them great business.

It was a great experience shopping with the cosplay and I was inspired to do Cosplay when the chance arises and I believe a great experience for the booth owners as well.. Flea events are just not only about selling, its also getting to know new friends, new business opportunities, fresh inspiration and grabbing a good bargain from another seller.... I simply love fleas... they are just so fun and refreshing....

Came across this place recently when I was in the area shopping so decided to have dinner there.

Assam Laksa ($8.80) - The soup is a little too thick and way too salty with very little sardines in it. The noodles are a little odd too. I'll never order this again.

Nasi Lemak ($9.80) - I love this (despite the price tag). And the part I love most is the rice cooked in coconut. It's really soft and delectable. My companion loves the chicken which was pretty well done too. It's served with belachan which neither of us eat.

Milo Dinosaur ($2.80) - Diluted. Go to Simpang for your MD fix.

Honestly? Prices are a tad pricey but the place is nicely done up and if you don't want to have the same dishes in a crowded place... then it's worth paying I guess.

We were in the area for a staycation and decided to stop by as we've heard so much about it.

The cafe is really easy to find, facing the main road and right at the end of the whole row of shops. Its ambience is really nice and warm. It is a smallish cafe with some outdoor seating.

I noticed they have a couple of menus. The menu I've seen on others' website (the weekend one) is very different from the one we had that day as it was a Friday. There are also some items only available for dinner after 6pm. The staff was cordial enough but not entirely helpful. Thankfully as it was only 3pm on a Friday, there were a number of empty seats and we could be seated immediately. We walked past during the weekend and there was a queue even at odd times of the day.

    What we ordered:

Smoked Salmon, Cheese, Egg on Toast ($10) - I'm not sure why we ordered this. It is a tad expensive for the four small pieces of toast we were getting but I guess I was in the mood for some light bites. It tasted fine, nothing special though. The bread was well toasted and I like the combination.

Penne with Salmon ($15) - This was really quite nice. The penne was al dente and the sauce used was not too thick. Don't expect much salmon though.

Iced Hazelnut Latte ($6.50) / Iced Mocha ($6.50) - We ordered iced coffee because only the iced coffee came with 3D art and that was what we were there for! The staff warned us that it might take at least 30min for them to prepare our drinks but as there weren't many people that day, the drinks came in 15min which was acceptable. Be prepared to wait if you go on a weekend! The drinks tastes fine just that you might not feel like drinking them after admiring the 3D art.

So we spent about $40 for the both of us. I might go back if I'm in the area but definitely not travel all the way to Changi V for this.

The ambience of the entire place is what I call clean, natural and warm. Decorated with traditionally influenced white stonewalls with warm wooden furnitures and lovely black and white paintings of nature gracing the wall brings an acute modern European tone.

While we waited for the others to arrive, we had a browse through the menu and was told of some of the must eat specialities and were surprised that the menu is due for changes every month. We adore the idea of surprises in monthly dining selections specially curated by the head chef “Mohammad Shahrom whom specializes in gourmet European cuisine and has won the ‘Tutto Italiano’ in the midst of his 7 year journey of being a Chef.

    Starters:
Carpaccio of Scallops with thai fish sauce chilli dressing (signature dish) - The freshness of this exquisite dish tasted like the Mediterranean sea with scallops sweet and had a fresh plucky texture.

Grilled Asparagus with poached eggs and parma ham (signature dish) - This is an unbeatable combination of asparagus, rocket salad and the extremely savoury parma ham coupled by some shavings of strong cheese that gave the entire dish character. Love the explosion of taste.

    Mains:
Herb Crusted Lamb Rack with braised red cabbage, banana shallots and Lamb jus - The lamb rack was of a generous portion and lamb soft and aromatic. The herb marination took away much of the meaty aroma of the lamb and made it easy to eat, flesh was of the right texture, pretty well executed and the sauce was savoury and nice.

Baked Miso Chilean Seabass with Edamame and sweet peas (signature dish) - Love the well crusted skin and soft fresh tasting seabass. Miso sauce was very balanced and the fish roe atop was an amazing surprise… it kinda added on the flavour “i call the sea smell” to the fish making it fresher…

Slow Braised Kurabuta Pork Cheek with potatoes and carrots (signature dish) - This savoury pork was so memorable that I can’t wait to meet it the second time. The sauce did the miracle of tickling my taste buds to the varied herbs and spices involved while the pork was soft, juicy and easy to gobble up.

    Tapas
Salmon Skewers with Grape Relish - Fresh salmon skewered with well dressed herbs was delicious however what took my breath away was the pink Himalayan salt plate. It made whatever atop it laced with a saltish taste that almost tasted sweetish…

Miso Squid with sweet peas and salmon roe - Well grilled fresh squid was chewy and pleasant while the miso sauce was a tad too sweet for me, the salmon roe balanced it all. Love the crunchy sweet peas and it added on a hint of lightness to the entire dish.

    Dessert:
Gula Melaka Creme Caramel - We had 2 servings of this as it was way beyond what is possible to describe as how delicious it was. The Gula Melaka sauce paired amazing well with the Panna Cotta textured creme.

Lemon Cheese Tart - The entire journey concluded with the cheese tart which was too lemony for me as a personal preference I do not enjoy sourish food as much as downright sweet stuffs however it was pleasant to eat and the mix berry garnish is so pretty and winterly…

It was a very good experience at the restaurant and the christmas menu as of above was something I would return to eat in another occasion. Enjoyed the good spread and the well executed dishes with explosion of taste, i must say the chef did an amazing job in coming up with this menu.

These are one of the cutest floral arrangement i've ever seen. Pretty little high mountain flowers from Japan (like i was told) were frozen in time and preserved to create a mini portrait of a grassy garden inspired by the flower patches that can be found while you trek through the high mountains.

A simple design, elegantly planted onto a tiny glass vase, this potful of pretty tiny flowers do not require any watering and but seemed to look alive as it does bloom a little with humidity.

A neat gift for christmas i must say and no more worrying if you watered your plants. This baby flower garden in a glass bubble vase lighted up my dull office table and gave me much joy looking at it. Was happy to have found them at a flea.

I was super excited to see the $0.50 sign, at a flea.. I mean large signs with less than a dollar imprinted on simply 'turns me on'... so i braced myself and fast walked towards it.

Lovely charms with a choice of various type of bangles and bracelets for you to customize into your very own charm bracelet that looked like "Everybody's latest craze PANDORA charm bracelets" with many more charm designs to choose from sparkling gems to cute little stuffs such as dangling bags, little sliver stilettos, baby animals, etc. Made with pretty good quality materials and sold at a super affordable price of $0.50 a piece, these charms are pick and matched by yourself to create a pretty charm bracelets which is great for everyday accessories otherwise gifts for others.

I went crazy choosing and making bracelets for the coming christmas as gifts and with the many choice of bracelet materials, there are sizes suitable for various wrist sizes with many choices of leather colour, shapes and design of bracelet materials. Love the cute charm designs and with further understanding from the pretty and elegant stall owner, they do wholesale as well... that explains the super affordable prices and the great many selections... She also intro me her fashion online store and encouraged me to get stocks from her if I'm prepared to venture into small flea biz... I thought it a pretty good idea...

Loved my bracelet and looking forward to see the astonished faces of my friends. Last i checked out bugis village, the charms are going $1 - $2 a piece...

BlogShop Clearance 5 Sales Bazaar have got vendors like nothing i've ever seen before... Not that i'm not well acquainted with the repeated vendors that seem to participate in every flea i go and well.. we've became good friends and I've got SPECIAL price and could get my hands on SPECIAL stuffs (one of a kind, unique, you can't find it elsewhere kinda things that I LOVE TO COLLECT), thats the perks of being a regular flea "buzzling bee".

This time round, I've found a few very interesting items and once again will be listing them here...

    1) AROMA BAR - Specially concocted face and body products made with real good quality natural ingredients and formulated with soothing essential oils for everyday use. They carry a good range of soaps, bath salts and everything else you need to soothe away work stress. Its really relaxing to "SPA AT HOME". Check out their webpage: www.aromabar.com.sg for a full range of the products.

    2) NMKB Habib collections brings along a good range of exquisite jewellery encased with semi-precious mineral stones and gems yet with a super affordable price. Many designs to choose from and I think would be big hit with ladies.

    3) I've got some DIY "Pandora" look alike bracelets from Panorai, matter of fact they are a wholesaler for ladies fashion and the charms for these bracelets. For $0.50 a charm, i regretted not getting more bracelets made for Christmas presents. Love the new metal cuffs and the high heel charm that simply looked too dainty not to wear them everyday.

I've also bought quite a number of fashion items like dresses, pants and blouses from the many ladies fashion booths at quite a super affordable price. Some say cheaper and better quality then Bugis Street and some simply starred down at me, hoping that i quickly hang back that beautiful dress back up onto the rack so that they could GRAB IT. Besides the many interesting blogshops, there are also a few famous bloggers with super affordable loots that they receive from their sponsors and labelled as "preloved". The bloggers I met were mostly friendly, pretty and some even have their own brands of beautiful lashes or curated fashion items for sale.

I was quite impressed by the good mix of vendors and as a shopper I love the variety and wide shopping aisle as well as neat arrangements of the booths. The whole environment was charged with a good shopper static and kept cooled by the super efficient air-conditioning. Really good shopping experience and some large smiles i spotted on some vendors who practically cleared out their racks and went home early.

So for flea lovers out there, always remember to come early to grab these one of the kind super pretty things and well it never fails to amaze me on all the interesting finds I see at a flea. Theres always this something i have to bring home....

Once a flea shopper, forever hopeful to buy something at the flea...

If you enjoy your meals in Hong Kong then you will definitely like the Central HK Cafe. The entire cafe is nicely decorated with my mum's childhood idols. Pictures of famous ladies in bob hairstyle or honey comb back starched hairs poised with a smile in black and while while men usually with straight shiny well oiled hair otherwise curly permed styled decorated the walls of this hong kong street look alike cafe.

While we brace ourselves to sit in the tiny booths that resembled some old tea house i go to in HK for dim sum, we were given a laminated A3 sized menu and a slip of paper to order from. Love the fact that one side speaks english and the other side speaks chinese, the menu spoke many HK specialities and delights while we slowly take our pick while trying not to be distracted by the beautiful night scene of Kowloon City outside the makeshift fake metal windows.

I ended up with a H.K Rickshaw noodles ($4.50) just to reminisce the time of my travel. While the soup noodle arrived in a slightly large bowl with thin angle hair egg noodles, half a sausage, half a braised egg, One braised wing and a huge chunk of radish. It tasted average and surprisingly, the radish tasted yummy. Yes the radish, sucked up the flavor of the soup while adding its own sweetness on a firm yet bitable texture was yummy.

The Curry Beef Rice ($7.90) is a stewed beef in somewhat Jap curry tasting sauce. Beef was soft and yummy while the curry is a little sweet for my liking.

Polo bun (butter) ($2.50) was crusty and soft with a slice of cold hard butter reminded me of Kaya Toast... I prefer kaya toast

Macau Pork Burger ($5.00) is not worth $5.00 however the pork chop in the burger was yummy though a little overlaced with sauce and messy to it, it was the most yummiest dish i had this trip.

Grass Jelly Mango Pearl Coconut Cream dessert ($4.00) arrived atop some shaved ice. While its a mouthful to pronounce, its also a mouthful to eat. The taste was quite so jumbled up I was reminded of chandol... and i prefer chandol... though the grass jelly has got the texture of the gui ling gao which i loved very much.

Pretty nice place if you are not too picky about the food... no wow factor however its a nice cafe to hang and have some asian delights...
