Been to this cafe a couple of times for their dinner buffet. The spread was quite pleasant, with sashimi (tuna, salmon), nice fried stuff and teppanyaki (beef, pork, prawns, mushrooms, etc on a skewer). In addition, on weekends, there is also Bejing duck served at the hot dishes counter, which tasted very nice. That was my favourite dish, as well as the sashimi, which was very fresh.

The service there was very good as well with the staff being attentive and helpful whenever you need them. Overall, I would say that this is a relatively nice place to have a meal, though the spread may be slightly lesser as compared to other places and the also being in a hotel, the price may be slightly higher as well. Still, I would recommend people to go there to have a try and see for yourself if you like it.

heard alot of this place but never maanged to drop by till yesterday. As I had my meal elsewhere with my friend prior to adjourning here, I did not get to have a sample of the main courses that they serve. Instead I went for a simple dessert and a cup of long black coffee. The dessert I ordered was named "Banatica". Bascially its caramelised banana slices with a few scoops of ice-cream served in a tall glass.

The taste of the dessert was not bad thou a bit tad too sweet for my liking. As for the coffee, it was just average but was good for that moment as it helped to complement the over-sweetness of my dessert. Overall I find that the dessert is quite alright. Next time, I will try to get a taste of the other foods there.

Just had my dinner at this outlet of Bishamon this evening. Basically this food outlet serves a few varieties of Jap food such as Ramen and Don Buri. But what I liked was the set meals that they offered, which included a mini portion of either ramen or don buri, one side dish, two pieces of either California or futo maki or sake sushi(with $1 top up) and green tea or soft drinks(with $1 top up as well). Therefore, if one chooses the basic set with no changes, the nett price is just $12.90, which is relatively a good deal and similar to that of Ajisen Ramen thou the portions may tend to lose out a bit.

Overall, I still think that its quite worth and the taste ain't too bad either. So do give it a try if you happen to pass by.

Went to this Sushi Tei for the first time two days ago.

I ordered the salmon belly soup, which was on promotion, sashimi salad, Golden roll, as well as a couple of Nigiri sushi namely the salmon sushi and the hokkigai sushi.

The taste was quite good and the sushi were fresh as well. However, one thing that needs to be improved would be the service as they tended to be slow in serving my table, even though there wasn't much of a crowd. In addition, I think that the pricing may be slightly higher to other similar Japanese restaurants.

Overall I find that the ambience was quite nice. The crowd there generally was more of the working class and thus was quite quiet, which was good. However, given the pricing and somewhat limited variety of food and also no discount given unless you are a Sushi Tei member , I would rather go for a buffet at Hanabi or Hoijin, which would be more value for money.

Was eating at this restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day for my gf with her family. This place was recommended by her sister, who brought us there. The specialty dish of the restaurant was cold crabs or 冷螃蟹。 ANd to make sure you had it, you had to place an oreder for it, else you would end up disappointed of not able to have it if you go there impromptu and decide to order on the spot.

So therefore the cold crabs arrived and it was indeed a nice change from the usual chilli crabs, butter crabs, etc that we normally eat. Eating this dish won't make ur hands all messy and dirty and the meat was sweet and came off easily from the shell, indicating that it was fresh.

Besides the crab, we also ordered a sea cucumber claypot , fried Teochew springrolls (五香), fried vegetables and chicken. The dishes' taste were not bad and the quantity was was huge, even though we ordered small size for all.

As for the pricing, I found it to be reasonable (Sorry I can't remember the exact amt). The service was good as well and this seems to be quite a famous shop, judging by the photos of HK movie stars who once patronised this shop.

So do drop by and try it for yourself and share your experiences here.. (",)
