Happen to be at Plaza Singapura shopping, passed by Eu yang seng and realised that I need to purchase a supplement called the Cordyceps Mycelia Capsules. when I entered the shop, the sales lady was very courteous. She asked what I'm looking for. So I told her I'm interested in getting the supplement and she then explained to me the benefits of this product. While listening to her, actually I already know about it because my Mum introduced me to his product.
Later on, the sales lady went on to explain to me how to consume it. Thereafter, she asked me "Have you taken this before?", I answered "Yes." She smiled. I guess she smiled because she should have asked this question earlier on so she need not explain in so much details.
Anyway, her service was really good. After payment, she still introduce me to other products. Almost forgot, she gave me 2 packs of red packets which I'm really in need of because CNY is coming....
Came across this cafe when I was looking for a place to have my lunch when I was shopping at Central Mall. I had the Pork Chop Rice Special. Really special. The set actually consists of salad, mashed pork gravy, rice, fried egg and 2 mini slice of pork chop. The set costs $5.80. Very delicious. The bubble tea also not bad. Very Hong Kong style. Better than the other Hong Kong like cafe that i have visited.
The only thing I dislike is the service. When I first ordered the pork chop rice, I told the cashier that I would like to have it take away but later on I saw there are many seats so I asked for dine in so I told the cashier that I would like to have it here. Guess what? She showed me a super unhappy face. What kind of service is that?
After ordering, I sat there and look forward for the pork chop set. I waited quite awhile for the rice. The person who ordered after me already got served and I'm still waiting.
When I was having my rice, the lady who prepared the food actually came out from her "mini kitchen" and clear the table. Not very hygienic.
Anyway, the food is very nice but the service is very poor.
I had a x'mas lunch with my dept at Swensen's at Chinatown Point today. Although it's lunchtime but there isn't any queue at all.
Guess they are really good in clearing queues. Had their promotional item Beef Bonaza. OMG... Cannot make it. From the menu, I thought the "black" part are the beef who knows when the dish is here. Its FULL OF SPINACH!!!! The beef is so little.
It doesn't worth the price at all. It's $15.90 and comes with a soup and a drink. My colleague actually had its Fish n Chips at $12.90 actually had a free drink, soup and ice cream! Isn't it more worth?
Should have gone for the those in the menu instead.
My turn to add on. This store actually has a family history. If you will to do a research, down the street, there's actually another similar store which belongs to the sister.
Oh by the way Chiew Kee is open by the brother. I have yet to try the sister one but the one by the bro which is Chiew kee is obviously more popular.
The shop is always crowded. Have tried the rice but not the noodle yet. The sauce is fantasic not very salty when added to the rice, it actually makes the rice turn slightly sweet.
The chicken wise, since is "You Ji Fan", Soya Sauce Chicken, the skin of the chicken is understandably slightly mroe oily which is acceptable.
Lastly, the soup!!! which I don't fancy at all because its very Oily!! You can see the layer of oil on top of the soup.
Everything in this stall is selling at $2. I guess they just want to attract customers because in this hawker there are too many stalls selling roasted meat.
The $2 signboard actually attracted me to them. Yes, in the current times where everything is increasing, it is really hard to find food which cost only $2.
I have ordered the Wanton Mee. Overall it taste ok to me. The serving is super small. The wanton is the size of a 10 cent coin. Of course since they are selling at low price of course their portion has to be small too.
Nonetheless, the slices of Char Siew is countable.
I have yet to try the rice. But the uncle queuing in front of me actually order the rice. The portion looks ok to me.
What amaze me is they are selling at a super low price but yet the can survive with 2 stalls. Yes. They have 2 stalls. #02-44 and #02-45.
Conculsion, the meat taste normal. If you are going for affordable food, this will be the one. But if you are going for something good, guess this is average.
