I learnt about Snowlight from Yebber. I took a look and I must say I am fairly impressed by what I found. Most of the designs are pretty, unique and the price are fairly affordable. You can find some bracelets for as low as $8, and they seldom exceed $30. This is unlike some other handmade jewellery blogshops I visited, where pieces often go for over $20 and more.

Like the other blog-shops most of the pieces are limited edition with 2-3 pieces for each design, so you really have to place your order early if you wish to get what you want. A good way to stay updated is to subscribe to its mailing list.

The website is also easy to navigate and the pictures of the jewellery are usually fairly clear, with pictures taken from different angles.

I like this outlet because it is spacious, allowing the customers to maneuver easily. All the pastries are placed in shelves with a plastic cover that is easily opened by lifting it up and sliding it in. I think this is more hygiene rather than exposing the pastries to the air and customers’ breath.

The staffs here are friendly as well. The pastries are the same as most other Breadtalk outlets.

Right now, they are celebrating their 9th anniversary so customers are treated to some discounts like getting $1 off with 5 buns purchase.

This outlet sells some children apparel and accessory besides the usual adult clothing. I was here to buy a child hair accessory and it sells quite a few, most reasonably priced at few dollars. However most of the hair accessories are tied to their rack by a plastic string, so you have to get the sales girl to cut it for you. On that day, the sale girl serving me was friendly and polite without harassing me. When I finally decided on what I wanted she cut it for me, and apologized profusely for using a large paper bag to pack it as the shop ran out of small ones. I thought that was nice of her as these days stores are scrimping and saving on paper bags to cut cost or in support of the Green movement.

I was here to shop for a mouse, and I think this outlet is a little short-handed. They do offer a fairly variety of mouse to suit all budgets and you can browse freely with no sale staff to bother you. So when I have some quries I have to look for a staff which fortunately isn’t located too far away. The staff also seems knowledgeable about the basic technical aspects, which is a plus point. But when I didn’t understand something and tried to ask again, the sale person was busy attending to other customers, and he raised his voice at me, not too loudly though. However I do think better service should be provided.

This bank is located right behind the escalator at the old wing. Its front counter dissimulates the large interior. It is 1 storey but it is fairly spacious as you make your way in, you see various seating areas with beige cushion. Overall, it looks classy. There are a few cubicles where you go to open an account or take a loan, but I find these cubicles too exposed. Everyone who has to queue at the counter has to pass the cubicles.

The ATM and cash deposits machines at located near the entrance inside the bank, the area looked large and bright.

On the whole, the bank looks upmarket, so I guess UOB really has improved over the years, at least in appearance.
