    6. AirAsia

My experiences with Airasia have been rather pleasant. Their air tix costs are one of my best alternative for a cheaper holiday destination, they sometimes also offer a few packages, just like the one i got for my Phuket trip last year end. It was a mere 600sgd for 4d3n with a 4star hotel, and air tickets for two!

Their staff, food, service etc are satisfactory, nothing i would fuss or rave about, as it is a low cost carrier. If i were to choose, for further destinations, i would probably pay slightly more for a commercial airline for more comfort.

Otherwise, it is a great alternative to the commercial airlines, and nice to my pocket.

I went for a free Swedish Spa Massage (by UOB NOW debit card) and opt to top up $38 for a full body massage. The free massage includes steam bath, body massage and i think a body scrub.

I was lucky enough to get a last minute appointment as their outlets were mostly fully booked, with my voucher expiring that very week.

They were very thoughtful, asking if i wanted the steam bath as not every customer liked it. I went ahead for i think abt 10-15min, with a wet towel provided, to cover the face. I then proceeded to have a shower before my massage. My massuer is a very humourous lady, and i had a relaxing de-stress massage.

Like every offer, there is bound to have this sales-talk session. Being in sales before, i knew what to expect. The sales consultant is not as pushy, i think i was the one pushing for more instead. They offered me a $688(w/o gst) for a 10 session package- either massage or facial. I was reluctant as i am a first-timer in buying packages for facial n massage, and it was not the price i am willing to pay per session.

I ended up buying the package for $604 with a few freebies :) Oh and that is with gst.. as i paid one lump sum. Even my friends thought it was reasonable. I can actually choose any massage from their spa touch menu, with facial customised to fit my current condition.

Would be more pleased if they allow facial massage together w/o additional costs.

Have booked my first facial appointment next week and hope i will be able to enjoy it as well.

        8. Sweet Indulgence
           06 Jul 2008 at 4:38 pm
After reading several reviews about Sweet Indulgence, i decided to give it a try as a pre-bday celebration with my mum and bf. I placed a reservation beforehand and was asked if we mind al-fresco dining as indoors are full. The guy over the phone was courteous and polite, stating that we can move in once a table is available. I was glad enough.

The place is really hidden and we had been driving in circles trying to find the street. The manager i suppose came out to greet us and showed us our seats. My mum then asked for recommendations and we gladly took them. We had Spaghetti Salmon & Mushroom, Poached Salmon with White Sauce & Herbs, served with Pasta and Seasonal Vegetables, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Soup of the day (mushroom) bread, Tiramisu and Warm Choco Lava Indulgence.

All taste great! Bf esp. like their Cordon Bleu chicken, something different from others. My spaghetti was creamy and just nice for me. Mum's poached salmon was forgotten and came just before we finished ours. There was a bit of a fishy taste though, unlike the one in my spaghetti. But the desserts were the perfect ending to my dining experience.

Their manager would come over and ask if we were satisfied with our food, trying his best to answer my mum's endless questions. Staff were polite as well with a great atmosphere. What more could i ask for?

I was there roughly two weeks back, searching for a camera.

As the only sales personnal around was busy serving another customer. I looked around, trying to search for certain models i am interested in.

When the sales personnal was free, I enquired about a certain model (compact camera), he could not locate it, and did not even have the courtesy to even tell me that they do not carry that model. 2ndly, he could not tell me the difference between 2 models i was looking for.

I then enquired about another semi-SLR camera on display and he replied "Do you need it?" Maybe i was abit sensitive but i was not impressed with his attitude and tone. I did my own research and it was one of my options, besides, i do own 1 semi-SLR cam. Even if he was trying to be "helpful", his tone definitely did not convey that.

Whether or not a consumer buys from you, service is definitely one of my considering factor. Sadly, he did not really have the product knowledge, and the service attitude. To think Vivocity is going to be a major attraction for locals and foreigners...

Come to think of it, I should have accepted the female sales personnal's offer to help instead when he was busy..

If i am not wrong, this particular Branch has closed down to make way for some Orchard development. There was a closing down sale prior to that too. So there goes a all-in-one bookstore along Orchard area.
