I must say this is one of the best kway chups I ever had. The ingredients used are fresh, portion good and price very reasonable. Waiting time i must say depends on crowd yet its still pretty quick say about 5-10 mins thanks to the super efficient stall holder whom i suspect has more than a pair of hands... Looking at the way she multi-task on the various boiling pots placed all around her and the variety of dishes she offers I just had to give her an A for Amazing.
If you like internal organs like my pals then you would love to order a mixture of pork, fishcakes, taupok (fried beancurd) and intestines (and everything else internal), however if you are non organ ingesting human like me then we could just make do with lots of pork belly, tau pok, bean curds, fish cakes and stewed nuts.... Not forgetting the salted veg which is simply too delectable to forgo.
The serve a good range of kways in soup, yam rice and white rice. You must try their Kway, which is a thin broad pasta in soup. The kway are extremely soft, smooth and slurpish... It very well done, not too cook and soft to break yet of the right texture and done-ness...
Lots of huge seats thanks to the seafood Zhi Char stall to accomodate large groups with smaller tables. Consider sharing tables as it could be lonely sitting in huge tables. Place well ventilated and clean with 2 televisions to keep entertained.

We were there for dinner and glad this cafe opened till pretty late, enough time for us to slack in the cafe till our movie time. Whats better to come later then dinner time is that you get good seats... We got to seat at the huge circular booth which gave us much privacy and we hope could dampen our loud laughters and noisy teasing.
The menu was a delight with many choices of interesting sides, appetizers, mains and dessert. Many depicting the street food in hongkong, we couldn't help but had to order some to share.
1) Fried Chicken - was crispy and juicy on the insides, skin was a tad too salty, otherwise all is good.
2) Pork porridge is some thing I always love as a supper, it warms the tummy yet its not too heavy and i loved it with nuts. The porridge was pretty delicious and came in a claypot that kept it warm througout.
3) Spring Rolls and Dim sum was pretty yummy though cannot be compared with the handmade serious stuffs from the tea houses, its acceptable for its quality and price.
4) There are many choices for dessert and drinks and though we all love different stuffs, i must say the desserts are in particular nice but remember to ask for less sugar coz all seemed too sweetish for me.
Was around the area when I spotted this bright orange cafe with the words GOOD MORNING Nanyang Cafe written in bold. As I was way ahead of my appointment time, i've decided to pop in for a quick drink and was greeted by a few elderly ladies toasting bread. As the weather took a quick turn from the stormy morning to a rather warm and humid afternoon, i've decided on a cool, icy, lime juice to cool myself down.
The selections on the menu was a good variety of local dishes with plenty of choices and my all time favourite kaya toasts with soft boiled eggs sets, however all i wanted was a drink, i didnt get any of those. The entire shop space was filled with stools and tables and had a few tables occupied by white collars working around the area.
I loved the large windows overlooking the greenery and road by the corridor. The place held chit-chat noises pretty well and the air-con was of a comfortable temperature. Watching people rushing by the corridor is the complete opposite of the cosy and relaxing environment of the staffs working inside the cafe. Its a simple place to rest your legs and perhaps get engrossed with a book. Place is clean, pretty spacious and service prompt yet not overpowering... only thing... couldn't find the loo inside the cafe and if its outside i think would be quite a distance away...
One of my favourite place for late night dinners... the yummy stuffs are uncountable... almost all the stores sell really good food and some still retains the old school taste.
The hawker center had been there for ages and priced super affordably due to the blue collar factories around this entire area. Once being the town centre of the west, the boon lay market is still bustling at almost every hour of the day and most congested during dinner and late night supper.
Famous food there would be the Power Nasi Lemak and the 5 Spice (Ngor Hiang) with bee hoon. The fish ball noodles also have a good band of fans while many also head on here for affordable BBQ Seafood...
Its not easy to find seats yet there are lots of tables however occupied by groups of usually older workers ending their day with a good slurp of frothy beer.
I personally find the char kway teow, chye tao kway and pork satay most irresistible and will usually wash it down with a refreshing freshly juiced bua long long juice with dried prunes. Theres so many yummy food there, its difficult to name them all, so head on down... you will not be disappointed...... and watch out the Power Nasi Lemak... they tend to have a super long snaking queue every hour.. and the must have would be the fried chicken...
Nice place to dine like what Richard mentioned and yes please opt to sit near the full sized glass window where you can get to enjoy the ocean view and well parts of sentosa blocked by other shoppers taking selfies and hanging at the deck outside.
The restaurant is big with many seats and well, we set by a cosy corner which ended up trying hard to catch the attention of the staffs. Sushi Tei's selection of food is always good, though a little more pricey then some jap food chain, their quality is always good.
My most love would have to be the sashimi salad with their in-house sushi tei sauce. Tangy, appetizing and fresh is what you will get at a really good price I find.
The sushi and sashimi selections are as good as the set meals, yes they have set meals which were of a good portion and ingredients used fresh with a good portion of topping.
We also loved the grilled squid with mentaiko sauce. Well cooked yet not too rubbery with plenty of sauce and mentaiko topping made this dish excellent not to have.
Other basics like curry rice, cold soba noodles, udon was quite regular, not much to wow about. Love their seasonal menu, sometimes you do get specially flown in sashimi selections like lobster sashimi.
