Went for dinner buffet at straits cafe with my family. The place has warm lighting which makes the ambience really great for fine dining. the place we sat at has sofa seats with cushions making it really comfortable. there is a wide selection of food, from the normal sashimi, sushi, steak to more high end fresh raw oyster and laksa.but the oyster was not as fresh according to my mum and quite small in size.. i thot the laksa would seem quite out of place but no, it taste really good. my dad cant help but have 2 servings of it. the overall taste of the food was satisfactory only but the dessert was the best, especially the durian 1s that it is famous for. the durian cake, pengot and puff were all made of real durians with really rich taste. something which we enjoyed the most!! the price at 40 is really too high for international buffet like this, but is more worth a try if you use dbs credit card to pay cos there is a buy 2 get 1 free kind of offer. so the 6 of us that went spe...
