Himawari Japanese Restaurant started at SAFRA Mount Faber in 2004. Its renowned Japanese ala-carte buffet with over 80 different dishes which includes shabu shabu has helped gain awards and recommendations from local media such as The Straits Times, Wine & Dine as well as with Japanese publication, Shin Nichi Ho. Neil Road branch opened at the end of 2006 to cater to the clientele in the CBD - includes a private function room, modern audio-video system, WiFi access suitable for company meetings

Having been to many other Japanese buffet restaurants in Singapore, Himawari is my all-time favourite.
Sashima has always been considered the finest in Japanese cuisine, and both the quality and variety of the assorted sashimi served in Himawari are absolutely excellent. Not only are they fresh, the cut of each slice is very generous, allowing you to savour the piece in a mouth-watering whole.
Shabu shabu is also a must-try in Himawari for its variety of ingredients available. From thinly-sliced beef and chunks of chicken, to golden mushrooms and cabbage, all these at no extra charge should you order for more.
When it comes to hospitality, the crew is very prompt and amiable. Even the chef occasionally walks out of his counter to greet patrons personally, making you feel right at home. Last but not least, Himawari even provides valet parking at no cost to in-house guests for the parking space right beside the restaurant.
Quality food with outstanding customer service, I give this Japanese restaurant 5 stars!

Unlike other Japanese restaurants that I have gone to, Himawari is unique. The food is very fresh and very cost effective.
Those who knows and who like me were introduced there will go straight for the ala-cart buffet, never miss the shabu shabu.
Our "kakis" like the Neil Road which is quieter than the SAFRA main branch, probably because it is not so publicised at the moment.
Their upstairs private function is really cozy where we held parties. The AV equipment with karaoke songs, coupled with the food and dedicated Japanese chef had always impressed our local and overseas guest.
The small URA coupon parking carpark and the roadside parking lots are usually full. We were told to park at the Craig Place multi-storey carpark along Craig Road, 100m away.
