Jade Harbour

Just last 2 weekends ago I stumbled into a shop called Jade Harbour at Suntec City. I was wondering if this name has to do with "Pearl Harbour" the war movie?!? :P After looking around the retail shop, the one thing that really captivated me was the sales manager's education on me about Jade... she is a burmese and despite with some singlish slang, she really enlighthened me about Jade or a more appropriate name called Jadeite.

I believe not many young people like me know alot about Jade but this shop really gave me a good education about the origin of GRADE-A jadeite which they have many pieces there. With limited time she spent with me has taught me how to distinguished a real good piece of Jade. Thanks for her patience...hmm the people there are friendly and nice too... they even showed me their SUPER Grade-A pieces without any judgement whether I can afford or not... One thing I have realised was that Jade comes in many colours which many of us would think that it's only GREEN.. they have lavender, black, light-yellow and even light-orange... there at Jade Harbour is a place to stop by and see... ooops no advertisement but they are really nice owners.(thumb up)

Just a few days ago, I intoduced some of my friends to visit this shop... thinking that perhaps they will remember me and give me good discount... fortunately we managed to get some really good pieces of bangle at REAL good price! The burmese lady remembered me!! haha.. last night a really interesting phenomena happened to the bangle... it changes colour just over few days of wearing it... then I told my other friends whom also bought a bangle experienced the same thing!! This is really interesting or is Jade a mystical stone?

Mine the colour changes to darker green as for my friend's was more interesting...her colour has top part changed to lighter green and bottom part a darker green! This is really cool...to me this experience with Jade is really new and I am getting to like the bangle more and more..each morning I would be curious to see how it changes colour.

Hmm ...I read before that Jade can be a form of "charm" to protect the person wearing it...may be that will be my next write up after getting more Jade pieces!
