This place serves excellent and cheap steamboat. You can choose between Tom Yum Soup or Chicken Soup, but I suggest you go for both.

There is a large variety of ingredients and the ingredients are very fresh. Each plate is quite affordable, it costs about $2.5 (vege) to $5 (meat). Seafood cost slightly higher.

Of course the most important thing about steamboat is the soup! The chicken soup is very blend and is suitable for people with a light taste. While the tom yum is rich in flavour and at the same time it's not too spicy or sour. When you have the "yuan yang", the soups compliment each other.

What's more is the special chilli sauce mixed by themself, it goes really nice with the food.

If you are not a steamboat person, they also offer "tze cha" dishes. I have tried the prawn paste chicken and it tastes really good. The chicken parts are hot (served right after frying) and the prawn paste taste does not overwhelm the juicy chicken.

Finally, it's worth the try since it costs less than $15 per pax and it's extremely filling.

The claypots are extremely tasty and filling.
The top few claypots served at this hawker center is as follow:

    Assam Stingray
    "Ma yu" Chicken
    "Wu hu" pork cutes

This store is right beside a bak kut teh store. Please do not mistaken it as there are 2 stores selling claypot at this place.

The price ranges from $3 to $5 for a claypot (rice not included). Try to avoid lunchtime for maximum pleasure as the queue is extremely long.

One point to take note that the auntie taking the order can be very rude sometimes, but the cheap and good food can easily offset that service.

The food is exactly the same as the ones offered in Ang Mo Kio.

      Food ordered:
      2 Crab Bee Hoon
      2 Butter Crab
      1 Chilli Crab
      2 Sambal Kang Kong
      1 Plate Man Tou

      Approximately $180 for 8 people.

Since the Crab Bee Hoon is reviewed many times. I will touch more about the Butter Crab. Many might think is the normal butter crab you have at other restaurants but this is absolutely different as the SUPER THICK SINFUL CREAMY sauce has a few curry leaves to add to the taste of the crab. The sauce is FINGER LICKING GOOD. The taste might be a bit strong for a few people, but it also goes well with rice. I can eat a bowl of rice with just the sauce itself.

This branch, as compared to the one at Ang Mo Kio, is 50% less crowded not because of the lousier food. It is because not many people know about this place. There is no need for you to queue at this branch!

Moreover, the people serving you are not as unfriendly and rude as the ones at Ang Mo Kio (Read my review on Mellben Seafood AMK).

The best part is on the opposite side of the coffee shop is a hawker center and the satays are very nice also (Read my review on Satays)!

I have vowed not to go to the branch at AMK, luckily they opened this branched, if not I will be missing out good food.

The above reviews are sufficient for you guys to head down to try.

The food is excellent but the services are extremely lousy. My mum and I went down for dinner one weekend at about 6.00pm. It was considered quite early but there were no seats left.

So this comes the interesting part. We were asked to queue which is reasonable since it's fair for those who reached earlier, gets to sit earlier. We were third in the queue and were deciding on what to eat since the rest of my family members have not reached. Then came the auntie to take our orders, as we were not prepared to order the dishes, we kindly asked her to place orders for the few items we wanted and we told her we will get back to her once we have decided the rest of the items. She immediately asked us to stand out of the queue rudely and told us to think about what we wanted to eat before we join back the queue behind. There was like a 4 - 5 people at the back of the queue and it was a dumb decision to follow what she said. My mum and I were quite pissed and we decided to order that few dishes to eat(we don't want to let them earn by ordering more).

We told ourselves not to go over to eat at that place anymore. Luckily, there is another branch at Toa Payoh. Do search for my review at Toa Payoh!
