I ate here once before with my mum after shopping around Tiong Bahru Plaza. It is just a small shop serving desserts like almond paste, black seseme paste, mango pomelo sago, herbal jelly, siew mai, yam cake, carrot cake etc. And what caught my attention was the ice desserts and my mum who tried it before said that the ice is really really smooth and silky type, unlikely the normal kind of ice. There are some table and seats at the shop for people to dine in, so we seat down and ordered the mango snow ice to share as dessert.

When I first ate the mango snow ice, I thought it wasn't ice at all since it didn't taste like one. The ice was shredded really really thinly, to the point that it is like silk (don't really know how to describe it) and it is not cold like ice is. I find it quite special since it is the first time I ate something like this and it taste not bad.

So for people who hadn't tried anything like this before, it is quite worth a try.

Even though the shop is not that big, they sell plenty of stuffs ranging from torchlight, mouse, usb fan to clocks, bottles, pen, lightbulbs and most of the stuffs you need. The things here are very cheap too, so I like browsing around the shop here and look at the different types of items they have. I remembered last time Japan Home used to be almost everywhere, but now, quite alot of them have closed down, but I'm glad there is still a small shop here in Tiong Bahru Plaza.

Since the shop is quite small, the walking space is quite cramp as well, but I don't really mind it since the shop is usually not very crowded.

The crispy chicken at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks is a must try on the menu. The chicken is fried on the spot, so it is crispy and hot when served and to add on, the spices they sprinked on the chicken makes it so delicious. They will also cut up the chicken into thin slices for you, so it will be easy to eat with the stick and we will also be able to share the whole packet of chicken.
Besides the chicken, the oyster mee sua is not bad as well even though the serving is quite small.

Just like other Shihlin outlets, the food here maintains its standard and it's worth the eat.

Even though the Chemelon store in Tiong Bahru is quite small considered to other outlets, it is still quite convenient since we will be able to get basic hair accessories like hairband, hair clip etc for our everyday needs. They also sell stuffs like earrings, eye liners, nail clippers etc. The prices for items are affordable too, so if I need to get any hair accessories when I am in Tiong Bahru Plaza, Chamelon would definitely be the the first shop that come to mind. The service staffs is also always standing around the store, ready to provide you with assistance or a basket whenever you need it, so if you have trouble or any questions, it is easy to get hold of a service staff to help you.

Overall, despite the small shop, it is a convenient place to get basic hair accessories.

Situated outside Tiong Bahru Plaza in a glass-house liked exterior, the Coffee Club here is away from the busyness of Tiong Bahru. I had tea with my friend here once and the atmosphere here is good, great for catching up with friends over a cup of coffee or tea or some dessert or just to chill. The seat was quite comfortable and it just seems like a relaxed and slow day, away from the hustle and bustle of activities happening outside the cafe while my friend and I catch up with each other over a cup of coffee and some pie.

Really great atmosphere here to catch up with friends or just to have a quiet afternoon, away from the busy happenings around.
