The Creative Zen Microphoto was my first ever MP3 player and I remembered I bought it from the creative headquarters when they had a warehouse sales then. The price was really cheap then since it was a sale and only a few units of the player was available and I had to go down to queue early in the morning for it. It has been years and till now, the mp3 player is still workable even though the battery life is really short now (I could buy a new battery and get it to work properly, but since I have other gadgets that can serves as an mp3 now, I didn't bothered to get a new battery).
Besides the mp3 player, I've used their earphones like the ep 630 and I like the sound from the earphone since it has bass and the audio was really clear compared to the cheap earphones I used before, but that earphone only lasted for 1year plus before the sound from one side of the earphone broke.
Still I think creative products are quite value for money especially if you buy them during their warehouse sales where they will give out freebies, lucky draw etc for purchases or during IT fairs where the price is cheaper.
I was craving for Ya Kun Kaya Toast one day, so I takeaway some toast and coffee from the Ya Kun Kaya Toast at Tiong Bahru Plaza outlet.
Since it was a weekend morning, quite a number of people were having their breakfast there and I had to queue to get my toast, but the service was quite fast.
The toast was hot and crispy and the kaya and butter were spreaded just the right amount. Love it especially the rich taste of the kaya together with the butter. The coffee also smells really good and I was really looking forward to drinking it, but unfortunately I spilt the coffee on the way home.
I'll definitely eat at Ya Kun again for the nice toast and to have a taste of the coffee again that smells really nice.
The MOS Burger at Bugis is always packed, crowded with people and noisy and it is hard to get seats here.
What I like about MOS Burger is the teriyaki chicken burger since the chicken is always juicy and tender and I love the teriyaki sauce they used to marinate the chicken. Also, the rice burger is quite unique and filling too. But one thing about MOS burger is that it is quite expensive compared to other fast food and the portion served is also quite small (especially the burgers. It look so small compared to other fast food burgers).
Niwa Sushi at Tiong Bahru is just a booth selling sushi and bentos for people to takeaway or eat on the go (there's no place to dine in at). The sushi here are alright though not as good as those from more expensive shops, but still better than the ones at cold storage etc. Besides selling sushi, they sell bento sets too and most of the time I eat the Teriyaki set. I like the rice and the teriyaki sauce and also the potato salad (not sure if it's just potato or mixed with other ingredient). I think alot of people like to order just the potato salad to eat and they also sell that individually.
The food here are quite affordable and good for people who want to just grab some Japanese food on the go or for takeaway.
I used to love going to Comics Connection to look at the cute littles stuffs like keychains, handphone accessories, and most importantly, the idols posters, photos or notepads, files etc. Now, even though I seldom step in to the Comics Connection shop in Tiong Bahru, everytime I walk by, there will be teenagers in the shop looking at idols collectibles, comics, games etc. And got to say that now, the idol collectibles they sell at Comics Connection is so much better compared to last time. Last time, there were only cheap photos, cheap files, stickers etc, but now, their stocks for idols collectibles are like the upgraded version with higher quality files, photos, calendars, etc of top Korean groups and I'll just look at the window display they have when I pass by.
This is definitely a place which is good to get Korean idols collectibles and stuffs like posters, files, badges etc of their idols.
