The Kransky Sisters are bringing their brand new-baked show to town! Mourne, Eve and Dawn Kransky last served up homespun renditions of songs heard on their wireless back in Flipside 2008. The eccentric sisters are back to visit this June with their eclectic mix of instruments including musical saw, tuba, old reed keyboard, and kitchen pots, to cook up a sweet and sour recipe of ABBA, Cher, George Michael and Beyonce, with a dash of AC/DC and Pink Floyd for good measure. Add to this, a spicy lot of stories from their travels, and you have the icing on the cake. Hot out of the oven, this oddball Queensland trio reminiscent of your old aunties, will leave you wanting seconds! The Kransky Sisters have won several major awards including The Age Critics Award 2004, the Melbourne Airport Best Newcomers Award 2004, a Greenroom Award for best Cabaret Ensemble, and a prestigious Australian Live Entertainment Mo Award 2005 for best comedy group. In 2006 they received an Edinburgh Festival’s Herald Angel Award for Excellence and in 2008 a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Cabaret Production.
