This concert is just what inquisitive young minds need! Teeming with novel freshness, The Little Adventurer of SCO is already a concert parents and little tots look forward to every year! After the wonders of the baton, the metronome, and the wind instruments, what will Mr Quek enthral the little adventurers this time round? Ooh, Mr Quek will introduce a wide-ranging qualities of the musical bow! The miraculous powers of the musical bow will be demonstrated by its carefree rhythm in Song of Birds in a Desolate Mountain, it’s mesmerising beauty in Saint Saëns’ The Swan and its frenetic pace in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Flight of the Bumble-Bee. Law Wai Lun’s Grasslands Fantasia will bring the little adventures to the vast grasslands. They will also see the Orchestra using various special erhu performing techniques to imitate the hoof beat, the fight at close quarters and horses neighing in Chen Yao Xing’s War Horses Racing. SCO welcomes the little adventurers to the SCO musical world!
