Discover the masterpieces of notable European artists such as Raphael, Rubens and Anthony van Dyck through the exquisite art collection of the princes of Liechtenstein. Join us as assistant curator, Vidya Murthy, shares her insights on the exhibition which celebrates the High Renaissance, Baroque, Neo-classical and Biedermeier art styles from the late 15th century to the mid–19th century.
Vidya Murthy who joined National Heritage Board in 2003 is presently Assistant Curator at the National Museum of Singapore. She has curated exhibitions that include, Indians in Singapore: A Picture Story (2008), Surviving the Streets: Peddlers and Artisans in Early-Mid 20th Century Singapore (2010) and worked on the revamped Film Gallery (2012) at the National Museum. Murthy has also worked on several international travelling shows including Gold Rush: Treasures of the Ukraine (2012). With masters degrees in English and Art History, she has been actively involved in her drawing practice for the past ten years and has held a one- person show, Rekhachitragalu (2006) in Bengaluru, India.
