Soundwaves 2013 - FOOTPRINTS, People's Association's annual signature concert, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. This anniversary production features PA Talents, Singapore's only multi-ethnic Orchestra and Dance Ensemble with special guest performances by Sebastian Tan (Broadway Beng), legendary Rahimah Rahim and more.
FOOTPRINTS take us on a journey through time, charting the growth and maturity of our local contemporary and ethnic dance and music scene as it flourished through the years.
Guiding us through the eras is Sebastian Tan, whose deft humour is filled with local flavour. This Singapore boy will retrace the footprints left in the sands of time by our pioneers in contemporary and ethnic performing arts from 1960s to the present day. Join us as we celebrate our past, our ethnicity, as well as the efforts made to bring ethnic performing arts to where it is today.
This intimate production brings together over 150 performers, including theatre practitioner, artists, choir, dancers as well as a 100-piece multi-ethnic orchestra that creates a unique soundscape.
