1960年代，妮妮和一家八口生活在樟宜村的一间店屋里，她的身边充满各类奇妙的朋友及各种可爱的动物。
在妮妮眼里，朴实的乡村生活是她的奇幻乐园，樟宜村的一切仿佛是无尽而神秘的宇宙。时代的变更和发展终究没能保留住她所爱的地方，还好樟宜树的种子在她心里生了根。
《樟宜村姑妮妮》取材自新加坡漫画家赖威敏的同名自传式漫画,结合戏偶、光影等剧场手法，创造出一个天马行空的儿童世界。
In the 1960's, Nini lived with her family in one of the shophouses in Changi Village, with her friends and many adorable animals.
In the eyes of young Nini, the simple kampong life was a wondrous paradise filled with magical adventures and surprises. As she grew up, the Changi Village she loved eventually gave way to modernity and development, but memories of that place, like seeds, had been sown in her heart.
Nini in Changi Village is adapted from the autobiographical comic of the same name created by local cartoonist, Fanny Lai.
