Flea markets shopping have always been a highlight on everyone's vacation, just like shopping on the streets of Pratunum in Bangkok or the night markets in taipei. These gatherings of temporary vendors characterized an economical shopping spree with plenty of interesting, unique and hard to find merchandises, mostly one of a kind or from very long ago.

Taking on Singapore's very own multi-cultural style, the Mega Flea Market is one of the more iconic flea events held the 10th time in similarly representative locations like the Suntec Convention Centre. The turn out of the event over the two days weekend was promising with over 10'000 visitors thanks to the publicity of radio advertisements, printed media, multiple social media and internet marketing efforts.

At lunch time, which is just an hour after the opening at 11:00am, the halls were already packed with shoppers and next door exhibitors as well as trade participants hunting for good buys and lunch treats

Though we had a pretty hard time squeezing through the busy shoppers browsing at various booths that are consistently expanding their merchandises on display, we managed to talk to a few interesting vendors and caught a glimpse of their passion.

ONE DOLLAR SHOP - www.onedollaronly.com.sg

I was seriously surprised at the array of goods being displayed and even more taken aback when all is for a mere $1. Yes, you have plenty of good stuffs to bring home for $1 ranging from playful knick knacks such as stickers, colourful post-its, stationeries and even useful everyday must haves such as LED torches.

There are more than 150 varieties featured on their webstore while they are likely to add to their collection a good range of $1.50 merchandises. When asked why they chose to participate in Mega Flea Market 10, Ryan expressed that they had a raging good exposure of their booth during the Mega Flea Market 8 event and would most likely to only participate in Mega Flea events because of its 'MEGA' Size, the good mix in crowd and i quote "the trade effect".

Mille. a. Ville - www.milleaville.com

Macaron, a dainty French cream-filled sandwich cookie which, in its best form, will fill your soul with warm, fuzzy happiness after one bite.

Started by 2 lovely sisters (Alyssia & HuiLi) in Dec'2013 with a passion in pâtisserie and creating angelic looking customized macarons to brighten ones day. We managed to get a taste of the peanut butter flavor in the cream which is smooth, creamy and light while the thin crust of the cookie faintly covering the soft chewy cookie within is of the right level of sweetness.

Though it is the first time they participated in the Mega Flea Market, their booth is frequently packed with people, especially with wide-eyed ladies exclaiming sighs of envy at these pretty little creations.

Freshly baked and handmade to your chosen design, packed in a chic box of 12 and wrapped with ice-pads to retain the freshness. More pictures are also available on their instagram: Milleaville

Little Paw Friends - www.littlepawfriends.weebly.com

One cannot help but notice this super huge booth with cute cuddily kennels and wonder... can i fit into them? Could i have a bed as comfy as this one?

Yes... these don't come in human sizes but for man's best companion. Little paw friend's Amanda, a passionate lover of all doggy things, owner of a shop in City Plaza shopping mall stood with a large sweetish smile while we browse through the equally large array of accessories, fashionable poochie clothings and every other nice things that every fashionable doggie in the world would love to be dressed in.

Though the booth is already pretty packed, there are still lots more items on her online store and you can opt for delivery unless you wish to bump into everybody on the bus with the funkiest kennel you got for your beloved puppy at home with self collection.

Fancy a personalized leather accessory, be it a pouch to hold all your valuables or a simple short sling engraved with your name.

Yes, nothing is more important to one than their name, something that depicts a person's character, reputation and who you are. DAMCO gifts completely nailed it this time, not just with the continually hammering of the stencil but to bring back the culture of carrying things that are of our own brand instead of somebody else's name who we don't really know except the occasional magazine features.

So I can't help but get my own name hammered in by ANDY and if you would like one done by either Darren or Andy or Margaret from DAMCo, you could also contact them via their facebook and arrange for mail otherwise a meet-up.

Florasia - www.florasia.sg

Flowers and gifts has always been the key to a women's heart but with Florasia Stefenie's creation it is now the key to everybody's heart. These carefully handmade little sculptured living crafts are the fruit of her passion and not only do they brighten up your working desk, it has a comforting effect for being close to nature.

From the choice of plant, landscaping to the intrinsic details of ice cream stick messages and paintings on the pots were all painstakingly created by Stefanie. Each pot is unique and if you are in luck you might even collect a whole range of a similar themed set.

My favourite theme should be the ceramic hedgehog which looked too relaxed underneath the shade of a mini bonsai tree.

Maintenance is simple, otherwise you could consult the little "how to care" pamphlet. For $2 onwards you could get some pretty accessories to dress up or customise your own pot of living mini landscape and from $10 onwards a pot of charming pre created companion.

Besides little terrariums and these pretty indoor living crafts, Florasia also does bridal flowers and other floral related souvenirs, mainly sold via their 3 box shops and from their facebook page. Florasia has participated as a vendor during The Mega Flea Market 9 and have since witness the business of a good crowd of 30'000 visitors had decided to continue to showcase her creation on Mega Flea 10 and the many other fleas to come along. Its intriguing, its fascinating and it makes me want to own not one but a few and a few more after browsing through the huge collection of these famous people and characters.

These pop arts in 10" by 10" or 20" by 20" acrylic encased wooden canvas make excellent wall decoration to jazz out those lonely walls and are excellent gifts especially to those oxymorons who have impeccable taste for originality yet enjoys some familiarity.

Duttie-pop are the original creator and distributor of these pop-arts featuring famous people and their inspirational captions.

For a mere $28, you get to bring home a piece of wisdom from these legendary figures at their Mega Flea Market 10 booth however if you want more, you could always order online and arrange a meetup otherwise have it delivered with a fee.

Some things will just never get out of fashion and one of such are t-shirts which I believe would still be in fashion when we get to heaven. Suitable for all events, in all weather and always swanky for all body shape and sizes.

Street Culture has got it altogether with their trendy prints and comfy materials. Featuring t-shirts with so many themes for hard rock fans to interestingly cute marvel comic lovers not forgetting for times when you feel like an oddball and wanted some really weird prints that is sure to make you laugh when you look into the mirror. Material used is particularly good, thin and stretchy, breathable and printings feel durable.

It's hard not to take a second look at this corner booth. The loud graphics shouting out amidst the many tees hanging off racks displays quirky and eye catching wearable graphics. I literally had to spy on its passionate owner Mike helming a rock and roll hairstyle for a short chit-chat as his space is always crowded with shoppers.

Being more than 5 years in the business and the anchor tenant of all The Mega Flea Market events, Street Culture had come a long way in providing good quality tees and designs to flea shoppers islandwide. Most tees were almost handpicked worldwide from countries such as thailand and Japan by Mike whose passion is for retailing at fleas. One inspirational slogan he repeated twice and I quote "Find a Job that you like!" got me thinking a lot about life and of course I can't help but grabbed quite a few tee shirts that reflects my personality.

And so our journey stops right here though we ought to say we had alot of fun at the Yebber Roadshow, not to forget some really unforgettable personalities that we met while we gave out our WE LOVE YEBBER stickers and also rummage through the masses of sign ups to find the ULTIMATE $100 Winner.
