Being beautiful has never been easier with Benefit!

Chanced upon Benefit from their website and found it at CK Tangs. I just couldn't resist myself, the packaging is so cool! I told myself I just need to get them! After understanding about the various products from the lady, I bought dr.feelgood and some-kind-a-gorgeous. These two items burnt a $120 big hole in my wallet!

After using it for more than a month now, I must say, I simply love them! The powder is so light and you don't feel like wearing make-up at all! I used to hate wearing make-up, so when I say I loveeee Benefit, I truely mean it! I don't think I'll be using any other brands anymore.

Also bought their popular blusher, Dandelion online. And I simply love love love it too! Am waiting to buy more. In fact, I want all!

If you like Jazz, Jazz at southbridge is the place to go.

It is just situated above coffee bean near the underpass crossing. You could see a small door and a stairway, walk up and you will reach a beautiful and cosy hall. It really gives you a colonial ambience and the spacious environment with comtemporary interiors designs is hip yet with a tinge of history.

If you are there earlier in the evening, you might want to sit and chill with a pint of ice cold beer while enjoying the top down view watching padestrians straddle along the side walk near the river.

But if you can wait till the band starts, thats where the action really is. The band is usually made up by well known experienced musicians playing as sessionist. The house band is also made up by a group of very experienced and talented musicians. It is really good quality music while you could see the mischievous look on the musician's faces, they are only leisurely JAMMING...

Very good music i should say and wonderful ambience. Be it with clients, friends or loved ones, it is really a very good place to chill out and catch up with them. Tehe beverages are not too pricey and there is no cover charge. The snacks are very good, fresh and crunchy. You might wanna ask for more MARUKU......

Definitely a NONO for big noisy groups.....

Music so good.... It is definitely a MUST RECOMMEND.......

If you like perfume and everything else, you should come to SASA. A mini version of the beauty hall of tangs and robinsons. The carry the most glorious brands like SKII, Elizebeth Arden to HDB tai tai's brand.

The beauty of SASA is that they offer branded beauty products at value for money prices. I always love to shop at SASA, especially during the storewide sales. I realise the prices are much lower then what i can get at the duty free shop in the airport. You can buy not one but various brands of 100ml fragrances at $50.

You will be pampered for choices when you are there...
Various skin care products for your review and trial. The friendly staff can share with you their professional views and introduce you some really good products if you do not know what you are looking for. These friendly staffs are equipped with some good knowledge on skin care products and i find them of good consultation and not pushy for you to buy their products. Unlike some departmental stalls, some counter assitant are very pushy with their product range.

You can also find some really cheap and nice nail polish at SASA. Though the colour scale is not that large, but its good enough for the normal working day.

There are also some new products that you can only find in SASA. For example some Korean Beauty Care Brands, and I came across this very interesting the last time i was there. It was called soap sheets....

It looked like a oil blotting paper plastic dispenser but the paper inside are soap sheets. Really good for travellers and children. Matter of fact that oral ingestion is one of the avenue that invited most diseases, why not wash our hands with handy soap.

For good variety and prices... It is tough not to recommend....

The muffins from Chocolat N' Spice are fabulous. My dad can gobble up 4 at one time and he only love the CHEESE one.

Creamy lumps of cheese embedded in soft moist muffin with a crispy crust is simply too irrisistable. The other flavours like double chocolate, chocolate chip, banana, blue berry, orange peel, raspberry and pumpkin are nice too.

I personally also like the banana and pumpkin flavour. They do not use essence rather the actualy fruit to make the muffins and that made it exceptionally delicious.

The queue is always very long and sometimes we got to wait any extra 15 to 20 mins to get the muffins we want. But one thing i don't like is that you need to buy 6 to get a box. What if you only want to buy 4 as a gift to a friend. It only looks right if its in a box and the shop keepers insist you must buy 6 to get a box. I mean that unfair. Ain't that a little unfriendly to the customers...

Though the muffins are yummy, but the service is only so so.....

If you like pastries especially cheesy, creamy and rich kind, you must come to IKADA.

Humble looking bakery with exceptionally wonderful tasting pastries. I'm especially attracted to the blueberry cheese tart. FULL, RICH, CREAMY cheese fillings are the best I can never find anywhere else. The pastry is so crunchy yet crumbles apart when you bite into it softly. Buttery and oven baked till perfection for your enjoyment.

They have blueberry and chocolate versions of these tarts. Both taste sooo good, you can never be satisfied with one. Simply melts in your mouth.

The other products like breads and pies are very nice too. Fresh and just the right taste, neither too sweet nor too salty. The sweet potato bread is also very unique and tasty. Its just plain bread with fresh sweet potato creamy. You can still see the fibers but you can't taste the stringiness of the fibers. Its smooth and natural sweet. Very appetizing.

They also have eastern delights like piahs and moon cakes and other traditional pastries.

Good Variety and value for money...

Plus very very SHIOK CHEESY TARTs.....

    SUPERB!!!!!

Was planning to head to play boardgames at Boat Quay when we chanced upon this Thai Restuarant. Took a glance at the menu and found the price pretty reasonable. So we went in to get our dinner.

I like the murals on their walls. Simple yet tasteful. Simple decor and gives a very easy and relax feel while dining. Clean too. Nothing fancy. I like.

We ordered fried tofu (3 flavours), spicy chiang mai squid and green curry chicken. The food was nice and lightly taste. Its different from the other Thai food i had before which has a very strong taste of their spicies. Food here is nicely cooked with just the right amount of spice. You'll still be able to taste the original taste of the meat/vege with the sauce over it.

Total spent $22 for 2 person. Worth a try.

    Pepper Lunch... Interestingly NEW CONCEPT....

I was lured in by the LCD TV outside the shop, showing the procedures of cooking our own lunch.... so i thought it was really interesting and decided to give it a go....

I wonder... when did we actually Quality Control our Customers.. New concept New concept.......

This restaurant is indeed a noisy one.... besides the sizzling noise made by the hot plates, i could say the japanese culture really did get into the singaporeans working there.....

They spoke broken japanese with a bad accent loudly, trying to encourage the other staff but rather it annoyed me a little...

Annoying the customers when they enter the restaurant....
    New Concept New Concept...........

So i look through the menu.... and the food really looks appetizing..... So i ordered 2 beef patties on a hot plate....

I was quickly issued my seat and i sat down with my friends appreciating the whole theme and environment. Shortly our food came. The friendly staff asked us if we know how to cook our food... I stunned and looked at my friend sitting next to me... and he replied... " I am a qualified cook now where is the stove......

And we wondered.. why did we pay near to $10 to cook our own food....... When char kway teow is only $2 a plate..... New Concept New Concept......

The food was good.... there are 2 types of sauces to choose from and it was delicious, but by the end of my meal i suddenly realised that there were spots of sauces all over my pink polo tee......

And i pondered...... Dirty Dancing.... DIRTY EATING???
    New Concept New Concept.....

When we finished our food, the staff quickly cleared the table and went "Thankyou Please come again....."

I starred at my friend in shock wondering...

The faster you get your customers out of the shop the higher the turnover and so... its part of the jobscope of the staff to.....
    NEW CONCEPT NEW CONCEPT......

    Lunch $10........

    New Polo Tee $50...............

Emerge smelling like delicious beef after a satisfying meal and learning a NEW CONCEPT....................... PRICELESS............

I agree with kormmandos, you really pay for quality at sushi tei.... but i can say that for the kind of quality and variety they offer, the price is pretty reasonable.

Like most high end japanese restaurants, Sushi Tei serves food that is fresh and is processed by experienced chef.

We could judge this by simply biting into the sushi. The sushi rice by conventional sushi restaurant chains which uses machine to shape the rice are hard, tight and sticks to your teeth when u chew into them.

But Sushi Tei's sushi rice is like those hand made by experienced sushi chefs are soft but not soggy, firm with shape but yet not tight, Loose but does not come apart easily and most importantly it does not stick to your teeth when you chew at it.

The variety of dishes in the menu is fabulous. I had their raw lobster once. When the lobster is being served, the legs are still flexing a little. That shows the very experience slicing skill of the sashimi chef. The raw lobster was sweet, juicy and simply melts in your mouth. A real delicacy......

Simple dishes like just wheat noodles with an egg in soya sauce taste fabulous too. Though simple and light, this humble dish bring about an explosive taste. Once you tried it, you will never forget the taste and will continuing want to have it. Thats the KUNG FU of a POWERFUL CHEF...

If you want a more chic looking place to impress your business customers, you could always try the outlet at RAFFLES CITY.... Classy with a good selection of food, desserts and beverages. The warm ambience is good for business meetings and gathering with friends. If you are just interested in the food, i suggest you pop by the Holland Village or the Takashimaya Outlet......

    Really MUST TRY!!!!

Calling all book worms out there.. This is an online book store that carries a great selection and variety of books.

Prices are rather reasonable and they deliver right to your doorstep, wrapped in plastic and packaged in a padded envelope... I was personally impressed by the packaging as i encountered many home delivery products such that when i bought it online it was pretty and in fabulous condition but when i delivered to my home, it was KIAM CHAI......

Though i love shopping at book stores, browsing at the books and reading leisurely at its content, I feel pretty pissed when i just couldn't find the books I want. Hours and hours of browsing through the shelves and the book is right smack in front of me... Especially when i am in a rush or i needed the reference urgently, how could i spend precious time scanning through the shelves or run from book shop to book shop.

I chance upon Zakoola while reading a magazine in which, I couldn't remember the name of the magazine and I gave it a go. It was good. Payment was easy and the prices are reasonable, no queues and the book is in fabulous conditions. From then onwards.... no saint can stop my book shopping spree..... I even buy them as presents for my friends. Sometimes, its just difficult to meet up and I would just order a book, get it wrapped nicely and send it to their house.

Books are such excellent gifts for your friends and for yourself.....

Its hard not to recommend such a good site...
