Was invited for an event by the BlackList Singapore for a happening night at ALTIMATE @ the 1-altitude and boy was i amazed...
Snaking queues which grows as the night gets deeper.... Yes... the party starts officially at 11pm, so theres no excuse to be late... A pretty well arranged queue by the entrance to the lifts up to level 61... We were chopped, led and issued a game card for tonight's party game. The staffs were efficient, friendly and secretive... and us trembling with excitement... in our OH SO SEXY tiny tubes and skinny hot shorts...
A quick shot up the floors with a view out of the elevator is breath taking... It kinda felt like superman taking off yet, the lift was stable and pressure build up in ears minimized. With a Bing.... we have arrived to the 61st level and theres where the DJ spins filled the air and the party spirits take over. We of course haggled to be right where the window was and took a good view of the F1 track which made a bright outline so blinky, you couldn't avoid. Sadly the other heritage buildings were overshadowed and almost non-existent in that shimmering new track... (it was 3 days before F1).
The place was decently huge and well spaced with VIP sitting and VVIP Lounge couches with a small dance floor and great smelling restrooms. The view was great all over especially near the VVIP sitting and crowd was booming nice. A young dancing crowd of about 20-30, locals and expats were about 50 - 50... Music was great, female DJ did a superb job that sent everybody perspiring throughout.. Smiles, laughter and heat filled the air...
The drinks were priced pretty affordable with a promotion of shots running. We tried their cranberry vodka shots and it tasted not so good... Tried their house pours and we expected it to be more potent... Even the orange juice tasted a little watered down. But who cares about the drinks... let's get into the partying....
Its one of those exclusive, hard to escape kinda joint... up at 61 storeys high, its difficult even to walk down the stairways....
