Attracted by the Korean looking chef cartoon on the sign board and not forgetting the long queue outside the restaurant. It seemed like this newly commissioned restaurant is drawing such a good crowd from the neighbouring art schools. I approached and watched the busy patrons going to and fro to the food counters, the sound of laughter and the smell of grilled meat made me realised its indeed a happening and popular Korean Barbeque joint...
Located along the walkway of SOTA, heavily used by commuters from the MRT to the Selegie area and the much loved Princep street hip joints, this restaurant literally popped out of nowhere and yet the crowd is amazing. So we made a booking and came back during dinner time and it was still crowded. We were quickly shown our table and yes the seating was a little tight but the atmosphere was somewhat comforting and at home. The sound of laughter and the sizzle of cooked chunks of well seasoned meat combined with the wonderful aroma of a mix of charred grills made me wanna start my food hunt immediately at the raw food bar...
So we went on our hunt... First the condiments and veg sector. A good choice of fresh green vegetables, some simple salad and loads of watermelon sliced carefully to fit into one bite. We got ourselves loads of sesame oil and specially concocted Korean BBQ sauce, while our friends load up on mushrooms, fresh Lettuce, some root vegetables, corns and many vegan stuffs. Then we made our way towards the fresh meat section and boy are we amazed by the selection that was there... While the crowd queued and lifted chunks of various flavoured, chicken, beef and pork out of their tanks, they were quickly replenished with nice cold ones from the kitchen. Service i must say was pretty fast and serving well... generous....
We dished our the loins, ribs and all sorts of cuts, seasoned and fresh and started the table bbq by laying them on the nonstick surfaces. Its a smart electric system that allowed us to control the strength of the heat with extreme precision, as such there weren't many burnt marks or oil splatters. The grill equipment was state of the art and one thing that made us extremely happy was cold water being served in a huge carafe with cups on our table and replenished without us having to ask for it. Though candied drinks are available and free flow, however its nice to have a swish of cold water to clear whatever it is in your mouth.
There is also a cooked food section where you can find 4 types of well broiled soups and my first love, the Ginseng soup which is well laced with load of herbs and chicken i didn't find any. There was steamed rice, fried chicken, spring rolls and many other finger food however one that really caught our favor was the Korean Rice Cake. I admit i weren't quite a fan of this traditional dish and I've tried many even Korean chef made ones which I didn't really like. This however made me wanna have more... Why u think? Such a normal and simple dish could be so different at the hands of different chefs? I cannot comment much coz i'm no chef yet at I'm Kim's Korean BBQ, the rice cake was soft and chewy, not mushy and does not stick to my teeth, the texture was good and the sauce was a well balanced of sour, saltiness and sweetness... The texture of the sauce was also of just the right thickness and the entire combination was outstanding...
Though the restaurant was about 100% packed with eager korean students fighting so hard to get a table, service was quick, friendly and happily good... It was a very good experience and I'm sure to bring more friends to visit them.
Well, we couldn't forget the price... Its much more affordable then the regular joints we go to, a good dinner will set you back about $24 plus plus and the spread and quality of food served was of a good $35 and above, so I must say its a good eat.... Keep up the good work and we will be back for more :)

Its a crazy crowd as the COMEX happening at the higher levels did bring in many more shoppers. While the husbands, boyfriends and techno freak pals were buying their latest electronic gadgets, wives, girlfriends, mothers and childrens were shopping till they drop at the the flea market downstairs. I'm pretty sure the shopping was good for everyone and nobody complained about aching legs or having to wait for one another with that sour plumed face.

Matter of fact during the last few hours... vendor's tables were almost mostly empty... Its a big Smile on everyone's faces.. Great Job everyone...and Great Buy for me :)
This might just be the best toy stores i've ever came across. My love to collect toys from various eras had just been reignited after I've met the booth on various occasions such as the Mega Flea Market, Blogshop Clearance Bazaar and china square flea markets.
Well the selection is more than you can imagine. Various types of soft toys, figurines and some rare collectable ranges can be found here. Its so much as look through the mess of various genre of toys and find that one last piece in your collection.
Prices are reasonable, thats if you know the market for collectables. Though these are not vintage like micro machines or barbie, its good enough to render my childhood memories for the love of ninja turtles which is by the way made famous again by the new movie. I could still recall the "michaelangelo" ninja turtle toy i used to have that have a springing arm that could whip the bad guy with his chained stick.
Service was good, stall owners were friendly and helpful in finding what I wanted. I ended up with a minion toys, a line bear in raincoat and some rainbow haired ponies... Hope to see them at the flea again otherwise check out their facebook page for more selection of toys. Will be sure to engage their service for children party packs :)

Well trained and professional with a flare in eye-lash perming is exactly the thing i need to prim up my limp looking short lashes then tend to curl inward in humpback of Notre Dame style.
So i approached the specialist for a consultation and her friendly smiles and patient disposition was extremely calming to my exclamations of how bad my lashes were and my crazy expectations of how I want the lashes to be.. While i was talking i was pretty mesmerized by her flapping lashes.. yes i mean flapping like a butterfly kinda flapping. Then she told me all about her lashes which looked astonishing natural, soft and perked her eyes up. She even explained to me about the perming and extension procedures and options. Its pretty quick and simple to prim up our lashes however I was wearing contact lenses and advised against doing it with lenses on. Another day, i will definitely give it a go.
While speaking I noticed her colleague working on some nails and well I must say skill and experience speaks it all... She's nimble and sure of what she's doing. Our nails will be in good hands when we get them to do it up for us.

I was surprise to spot them at Mega Flea Market 12 and was stunned at the Rock Art of pets. Hand-painted with a layer of protective gloss, these rock arts that bears images of the love of your life, your darling you call "PET", "husbands and boyfriends usually comes second place to our pets says the modern woman" *sniggling*.
This is one of the best ways to immortalize the memorable times you had with your pet.
The artist definitely had a flare and talent in creating these keepsakes as they look so adorably resembling to the photos you offer. So we went on an interesting mission; wondering what we can buy with $2 at a flea market such as this and we were amazed. Besides small trinkets and toys, some electronic parts and mobile phone accessories, preloved ladies fashion and some handmade pieces, we also did found some really cool bargains for a mere S$2. We bought a brightly coloured spring loaded eye lash curler which is easy to use, has a good grip design and 4 metallic colours for you to choose from.

Well organized and fun MEGA FLEA event...
It was truly a great show, jokes were sensibly funny and mostly clean jokes which is suitable for children. Extremely entertaining and gives us a great insight about all that is happening all around the world.
I love the theme and I love the method of delivery. I've been to various stand up comedies and also to some cheap comedies that uses vulgarities to create humor. Well, we respect those who have a true sense of humor that creates comedy with clean, obvious truths and traits of various cultures. Love that he didn't use any rough words, sex topics or hurting remarks to create fun and laughter...
Its a one man show and seriously to stand up there with hundreds pairs of eyes watching you talk for more than an hour is no simply task. What more you have to make them laugh and engage attention yet KAYA did it with such skill and tact, I am very impressed. The jokes, facial expressions and body language combines so well that I cannot buy smile while i recall the entire show.
It was one of those memorable acts that one could hardly articulate the tickled funny bone that goes off when they recall the scenes at the KAYA YANAR AROUND THE WORLD show.
Delivered at a nostalgia and classic Jubilee Hall of Raffles Hotel, the crowd that came to watch the act was full of Germans and Turks yet a good few Singaporeans also appreciate the art of Stand Up Comedy and matter of fact its not difficult to enjoy such an engaging show. Though it get a little off the mood during the last 10 mins when Kaya Spoke in German for the Germans here in Singapore, yet his jokes seemed for funny when executed in the German language.

It works simply by going to their site and buy the tickets to your drama, show, event, concert and other exciting affairs you would like to go, choose the date and time your desire, put in your details and simply make a credit card payment. You can opt to print out your ticket or a delivery. I mean its way more convenient then having to go down and hunt for the SIS*** booths in which the signs are always not visually friendly though I'm a 6/6 after putting on my contact lenses. No irritating extra charges and no confusing ticket buying procedures. Its only a ticket i'm buying... duh....
So i brought along my printed ticket to the event venue at Raffles Hotel and was a little lost for about a minute when I spotted signs and posters leading up to the event location. It was crowded yet it was easy to find somebody to guide me to wherever I needed and somebody even offered to exchange my print out ticket to a real paper ticket... i was excited to hold the REAL TICKETS, it sure feels different just like when you buy an inspired product will never feel as good as the REAL THING... I spotted security staffs all around the place dressed in all black, seemed to be guarding something important yet they have such smiles that don't look like they were about to make me their dinner aka. The overall experience was warm and friendly with ample help and attention from the friendly organizers and staff. It was very pleasant and efficient. After the event, there was an autograph session and that proceeded pretty smoothly with neat queues and fast group photo-taking. They were generous with their printed media and there was no human jam even when exiting the area. Well coordinated and planned. Will engage them for future possible event and ticketing services.

Photo quality is rather good because professional studio lighting, backdrop and equipments are used. I should say i feel less embarrassed when i get to pose with all my imaginations and you must know my imaginations are not always lady-like and some you can say are mildly weird. Yew Tee Point, one of those gems you find in the heartland with plenty of festive events and surprising activities for the young and old. Located right next to the Yew Tee MRT Station, this welcoming mall boost generous walkways and cool air-conditioning especially comforting for a hot afternoon.
This is one of those malls that encompasses the swanky new shop front designs and a good variety of smaller cart stalls in the middle of the walkways like shopping in of those earlier malls. Its a mix of the benefits of two era whereby you get a good variety of shops with a fast turnover rate and great shopping deals because overheads were kept low. Cart stalls were one of those brilliant creations that maximizes space and minimizes redundant resources while at the same time requires less commitment then a proper shop-front, great for startups and small businesses.
I must say the flea held at the first level concourse was surprisingly fun. This week the mall is celebrating national day with a vintage theme called: "reminiscing the good old days" and I got to take pictures with my favourite vintage Vespa Hot Red scooter and a sweet pink Volkswagen van which very much reminded me of the 50s when we still had black and white TV and radio was a large part of our lives. The flea was fun when they also sold toys that reminded me of my childhood like tops, five stones, pick up sticks and many more games that we could never get bored with. Not forgetting our Singapore Icon the Merlion as i always couldn't get a good photo with the REAL BIG it at the Singapore River, now I could get a nice picture with the miniature that's spewing LED lights... simply lovely.
I was pleasantly surprised when i get to the basement which seemed much more crowded then the level above it. Grocery shoppers with bagful of items from the NTUC supermarket and theres even a UNITY pharmacy to cater to all my prescribed needs. An awesome and spacious food court with a couple of nice restaurants and takeaway food specialities at the concourse.
Pssst..... My little secret.... " I found the best valued and quality japanese sushi restaurant here at this mall... "
The basement is so large that the concourse could even house a flea selling household items. I love the character of the mall. Its spacious and have space for lots of carts, events like fleas, bazaars, roadshows yet even when the crowd fills up, the place don't feel congested with traffic jams everywhere. The design of the mall keeps accessibility in mind with escalators and entrances well planned for a pleasant shopping experience. Great variety of small booth shops and shopping is easy on the pocket. Overall its a really nice place to spend the afternoon for the whole family.

So we went on an interesting mission; wondering what we can buy with $2 at a flea market such as this and we were amazed. Besides small trinkets and toys, some electronic parts and mobile phone accessories, preloved ladies fashion and some handmade pieces, we also did found some really cool bargains for a mere S$2. We bought a brightly coloured spring loaded eye lash curler which is easy to use, has a good grip design and 4 metallic colours for you to choose from.

Now who says we can't buy anything with $2? At the Mega Flea bazaar... this is totally not an issue... The vendor's selections are many, good mix of crowd with the overflow from neighbouring events and properly arranged logistics and spaces for a comfy shopping and vendor experience. Well organized and fun MEGA FLEA event...

It was truly a great show, jokes were sensibly funny and mostly clean jokes which is suitable for children. Extremely entertaining and gives us a great insight about all that is happening all around the world.
I love the theme and I love the method of delivery. I've been to various stand up comedies and also to some cheap comedies that uses vulgarities to create humor. Well, we respect those who have a true sense of humor that creates comedy with clean, obvious truths and traits of various cultures. Love that he didn't use any rough words, sex topics or hurting remarks to create fun and laughter...
Its a one man show and seriously to stand up there with hundreds pairs of eyes watching you talk for more than an hour is no simply task. What more you have to make them laugh and engage attention yet KAYA did it with such skill and tact, I am very impressed. The jokes, facial expressions and body language combines so well that I cannot buy smile while i recall the entire show.
It was one of those memorable acts that one could hardly articulate the tickled funny bone that goes off when they recall the scenes at the KAYA YANAR AROUND THE WORLD show.
Delivered at a nostalgia and classic Jubilee Hall of Raffles Hotel, the crowd that came to watch the act was full of Germans and Turks yet a good few Singaporeans also appreciate the art of Stand Up Comedy and matter of fact its not difficult to enjoy such an engaging show. Though it get a little off the mood during the last 10 mins when Kaya Spoke in German for the Germans here in Singapore, yet his jokes seemed for funny when executed in the German language.

Love their efficiency, great coordination and good service. MyTicket, our online ticketing for events is somewhat the next better solution to other online ticketing service providers such as SIS*** .
It works simply by going to their site and buy the tickets to your drama, show, event, concert and other exciting affairs you would like to go, choose the date and time your desire, put in your details and simply make a credit card payment. You can opt to print out your ticket or a delivery. I mean its way more convenient then having to go down and hunt for the SIS*** booths in which the signs are always not visually friendly though I'm a 6/6 after putting on my contact lenses. No irritating extra charges and no confusing ticket buying procedures. Its only a ticket i'm buying... duh....
So i brought along my printed ticket to the event venue at Raffles Hotel and was a little lost for about a minute when I spotted signs and posters leading up to the event location. It was crowded yet it was easy to find somebody to guide me to wherever I needed and somebody even offered to exchange my print out ticket to a real paper ticket... i was excited to hold the REAL TICKETS, it sure feels different just like when you buy an inspired product will never feel as good as the REAL THING... I spotted security staffs all around the place dressed in all black, seemed to be guarding something important yet they have such smiles that don't look like they were about to make me their dinner aka. "Bull Dog Face"
The overall experience was warm and friendly with ample help and attention from the friendly organizers and staff. It was very pleasant and efficient. After the event, there was an autograph session and that proceeded pretty smoothly with neat queues and fast group photo-taking. They were generous with their printed media and there was no human jam even when exiting the area. Well coordinated and planned. Will engage them for future possible event and ticketing services.

Its a new concept of fun. How many of you have ever secretly hoped to model in front of a professional photographer but do not have the guts or chance to do it? Well, your new secret indulgence is here. The selfie studio where you can take pictures of all your beautiful and weird poses without worrying you might drive the photographer into a laughing fit.
So all you do is this, call to reserve a slot, turn up looking gorgeous and learn to use the remote to take selfies with the professional camera set-up while trying to pose gracefully in front of a mirroring monitor. Pick your props, a nice backdrop and bring some good friends for some groupie fun and be sure to bring home these great memories in the safety of a Compact Disc.
Its a little bit like the old photo booths when we pay 6 dollars to get our pictures taken,squeezing into that tiny booth and well the print out is a 3R with these tiny collages of prints where we cut, share and keep them in our wallets. However this time at the selfie booth, you get to pose for 30 mins and bring home all the pictures and get to decide if you want the nice ones in hard copy prints.
Photo quality is rather good because professional studio lighting, backdrop and equipments are used. I should say i feel less embarrassed when i get to pose with all my imaginations and you must know my imaginations are not always lady-like and some you can say are mildly weird. Use this to also take professional photos of yourself... If you are like me where my passport photos always looks terribly un-natural, then this is your chance to salvage all those ugly pictures by replacing them with pretty ones taken here.
Professional product pictures can also be taken here. If you some catalogues to create or merchandises you wish to put up on your eCommerce site, you could just bring them down and DIY your professional images. They have all the equipments to make your pictures looking perfect.
You be your own photographer less the skill and the cost to be one and create the look of your photos look like how you envision them to be. Be sure to say hi to the friendly owners and have alot of fun at the studio. Located at a spanking new mall (Bugis Cube) right opposite Toast box of Bugis Junction, you know where you need to go when you want some pretty selfies.

Yew Tee Point, one of those gems you find in the heartland with plenty of festive events and surprising activities for the young and old. Located right next to the Yew Tee MRT Station, this welcoming mall boost generous walkways and cool air-conditioning especially comforting for a hot afternoon.
This is one of those malls that encompasses the swanky new shop front designs and a good variety of smaller cart stalls in the middle of the walkways like shopping in of those earlier malls. Its a mix of the benefits of two era whereby you get a good variety of shops with a fast turnover rate and great shopping deals because overheads were kept low. Cart stalls were one of those brilliant creations that maximizes space and minimizes redundant resources while at the same time requires less commitment then a proper shop-front, great for startups and small businesses.
I must say the flea held at the first level concourse was surprisingly fun. This week the mall is celebrating national day with a vintage theme called: "reminiscing the good old days" and I got to take pictures with my favourite vintage Vespa Hot Red scooter and a sweet pink Volkswagen van which very much reminded me of the 50s when we still had black and white TV and radio was a large part of our lives. The flea was fun when they also sold toys that reminded me of my childhood like tops, five stones, pick up sticks and many more games that we could never get bored with. Not forgetting our Singapore Icon the Merlion as i always couldn't get a good photo with the REAL BIG it at the Singapore River, now I could get a nice picture with the miniature that's spewing LED lights... simply lovely.
I was pleasantly surprised when i get to the basement which seemed much more crowded then the level above it. Grocery shoppers with bagful of items from the NTUC supermarket and theres even a UNITY pharmacy to cater to all my prescribed needs. An awesome and spacious food court with a couple of nice restaurants and takeaway food specialities at the concourse.
Pssst..... My little secret.... " I found the best valued and quality japanese sushi restaurant here at this mall... "
The basement is so large that the concourse could even house a flea selling household items. I love the character of the mall. Its spacious and have space for lots of carts, events like fleas, bazaars, roadshows yet even when the crowd fills up, the place don't feel congested with traffic jams everywhere. The design of the mall keeps accessibility in mind with escalators and entrances well planned for a pleasant shopping experience. Great variety of small booth shops and shopping is easy on the pocket. Overall its a really nice place to spend the afternoon for the whole family.
