My mom is always declaring that life would be perfect if Chili's (in KL) were to open an outlet in nearby Johor. Then she would travel across the Causeway every weekend to eat. To which I would say, "Well thank goodness we have Friday's!". Ok my corniness aside (corny? I'm not sure people even use that word these days), Friday's is the next best thing to Chili's. In fact, it's no. 2 on our Top 3 Favourite Restaurants List. And unlike Nando's and Chili's, Friday's is just across the Causeway, people!! The first time we were there on Aidil's birthday, the waiters in their assorted cowboy hats / newsboy caps / berets and black vests made him stand on his chair and sing a song for the entire restaurant, using an enormous pepper grinder as a mike. They created such a ruckus! And all I had asked was for them to simply light up the candles on Aidil's cake and surprise him by delivering it to our table.
