Over-rated! For a 48$ cut, I think it is really not worth it. Maybe a $10 cut I would say Calvin's cut is passable. But he is really over priced for his skill. I really dont think very much of his skills. I went based on what I read on the net but I was greatly disappointed. He does not have much flair for a good haircut. This will be my first and last haircut.
He does not keep to his appointment time either. He flits from one customer to another like a butterfly. No focus at all. Most of his clients are young girls with long hair. He is definitely not good with short hair. I will give his salon a miss.
i always have problem find e right salon to have my hair cut [especially im very into japanese style].
After reading many comments from other forums that they strongly recommanded here i decide to give it a try.
The decoration of e salon really fits it's salon name and what i love best is the staffs there make me feel very welcomed without over done it.
After served with drinks n magazines, the hair stylist, Calvin did a consulation with me to understand what i really want and he recommanded a hair colouring too to blend with my haircut. Though i have bad experienced at other salons before but i trusted him as he is really very professional. =]
The colouring that was done by one of the staffs, Vivi was a gd job and after the haircut Calvin even teach me a few tips to style my hair that is simple to do. I finally got e soft japanese look i wanted.
I really appreciated this efforts and i'm very happy that i finally found a salon that i will stick for long!
I personally strongly recommand to try out this salon. Beside the haircut, i really think their colouring is outstanding too n worth the price!
P.S - Actually Calvin has juz reutrned back from his upgrading course again in Japan june =]
I've seen lots of people coming out of Flhair and i decided to give it a try, personally i have very rough and thick hair, which is very difficult to manage, giving me a headache everytime before i head out.
After the hairstylist, Calvin, took a look at my hair, i asked for his advice and he seeked my approval before giving me a makeover.
I was nervous about how i would look after the haircut and hair treatments, he gave me a thorough hairwash and kept me entertained by having short chats with me, i found it quite impressing how he assured that i'm not bored, and managed to relaxed myself.
The place itself had good music and the ambience was very soothing, they offered drinks and magazines while my hair was being treated. Even his co-workers were fun to talk to.
I spent about 3 hours at Flhair and i was impressed by how i look after the hairdo, i was satisfied with the service and elated with my whole new look, thus Flhair has been the salon i've been to for the past few months, and i'm glad to say, i've never been disappointed at Flhair before.
Keep up the good work, Calvin and friends.
Thanks for the brown hair dye you recommended, i've gotten compliments from my friends the very next day.
I strongly recommend Flhair if you intend to have your haircut, they provide good service and i think the price is reasonably affordable.
Flhair -- hairstylist with a Flair for Fashion sense
having entered this salon, its unlike the usual neighbourhood salon that one will encountered. the interior design [especially the wallpaper and chandeliers!] gives me a relaxing feel and along will the background jazz music totally knocks me off.
a great place for a new hairstyle with additional confidence boost! many thanks to Calvin for changing my bad hair days to a well-groomed outlook.
due to the influx of customers especially over weekends, i strongly suggest interested parties to ring Flhair to secure a slot @6452 2330 beforehand to prevent disappointment. by the way, Flhair is situated @Big Mac Centre, directly behind Mac.Donald
This place is very much hidden, but I’m glad I managed to find them through Yebber.
There were 2 other customers when I reached. I sat down and was immediately served by Tim. We discussed about the type of haircut I want and he gave his suggestions and views.
Overall I like the service and the final look managed to “WOW” me. Tim gives very good head massage too! If you’re tired and needs a little boost in the head, you can pop by just for wash and blow service. It’s well worth it! I will be going back in a month or two to cover up the highlighted part and chop off more hair!
After getting cuts from female stylist all this while, its refreshing to get my hair done by a male stylist. And in fact, I find the guys more careful and he pays more attention to little details when cutting, washing and styling. Surely a plus for this!
During my 3 hours at Flhair Salon, I saw many other customers coming in with either messy hair or hair that’s way too long for their look. But they all left with great hair and better look! Being guy stylists themselves, they sure know what’s in and best suitable for the men. Many customers that came today were guys too.
They’re having a 20% discount now! (Till when I’m not sure. Can call them to check it out ya.)
This is the place to go for your haircuts if you love to experiment changes in style now and then, and if a new dimensional look appeals to you ; )
My fav hairstylist, Calvin, was trained in Japan - besides his skills, what touches one most is his dedication to creating the next new look for his customers always, that blends with one's character and yet at the same time also brings out something new in you... perhaps it's bringing out one's essence. from my own experience, it brings out an enhanced playful and livelier spirit in me, and it shows - been getting compliments every time i get a new cut. never had a short hairstyle before I had stepped into Flhair, and I've been glad ever since then. My latest cut even prompted a few friends to comment that my neck looks elonganated and face appears slimmer too.
