I visited My Cozy Room on 21 October 2015 for my facial appointment. It was my first time doing facial in years. All I remember from my previous spa experience was the excruciating pain and 2-3 days down-time due to the redness, which was why I chose to stay away from facials for years. Recently, I decided that I wanted to do something about my skin, and I did a search and found My Cozy Room, which had quite a number of positive reviews online.
The experience was beyond what I expected. I was welcomed with a very pleasant scent when I stepped into the place, and the lovely staff handed me a cup of warm tea. I was promptly attended to, and ushered to the room where the facial was performed.
Before starting the facial, the therapist did a short head and neck massage to ease me into the session. Throughout the session, she also explained to me all the steps that she was doing and its effects. She helped me to understand the need for double cleansing, and how I can go about doing it one my own. All I remembered was that the start of the session was really comfortable (I nearly fell asleep!). Then we went on to extraction.
I voiced out my concerns about the pain and redness thereafter, as I have really sensitive skin. The therapist reassured me that the pain is really bearable, and redness will be minimal, as they are specially trained - and it is true! There was some sensation, but it is bearable and I did not even tear at all, even at the more sensitive areas (upper lip and cheek in particular). The extraction was really very meticulous and much more than I expected. There was a crystal eye massage (I LOVED it), followed by putting a mask, ending off with a shoulder massage. It was super relaxing!
After heading out from the room, I sat down with Celine, the spa manager where I looked at my skin - I was truly amazed by the results! There was hardly any red spots (they were at most pinkish), and the skin around my forehead area was really radiant and smoother.
It has now been around two weeks since my facial appointment and I've been religiously practicing the skincare routine as recommended by the therapist. My skin feels more radiant than before, and I appreciate that I now understand my skin better. My Cozy Room is really a great start to my journey towards better skin.
My Cozy Room managed to convince me that facial is not scary at all by debunking two of my biggest fear - the pain of extraction, and a long down-time. I was really pleasantly surprised at the quality of service provided, and would definitely come back again - maybe this time with my friends and sisters! My Cozy Room is indeed the best spa & facial place I have ever tried so far in Singapore! ☺

3 weeks ago I booked their signature (4-in-1) 75 minutes spa to pamper myself at My Cozy Room, a day right before my birthday and it was such a wonderful experience, from the moment I reached till the minute I left. I am rather particular with the overall experience that a spa delivers. & I must say, My Cozy Room is a hidden gem right behind Orchard, Paragon!
Upon entering, I was not only greeted with a cup of tea, but a warm and lovely smile from the staff. To me, nothing else really matters as much as service! :) Afterwards, I was informed to fill up a form of my personal particulars, massage strength preferences and area to concentrate on, which I feel that it is important for the therapists to find out what I (the customer) want before doing the spa/ massage.
Then I was guided to my room for the massage. To start off, the therapist did a back scrub to exfoliate my skin as I have a few pimples on my back, and it was such a long time ago since I did a back scrub. The therapist was very polite and courteous to inform me what she puts on my skin before proceeding to the back scrub. I feel relaxed and so much cleaner after it was done! Followed by a hot stone massage, which was my first experience doing it. Hot stone massage is supposed to alleviate stress, improve blood circulation and relieve tension. The pressure that the therapist used was just right on me, and to ensure that the heat was not overwhelming; the therapist constantly checked whether I was comfortable with it. Lastly, the therapist did crystal eyes massage to end of my session, which is extremely soothing with a pretty cooling sensation to reduce my dark circles and puffy eye bags.
The 75 minutes of spa was heavenly! Ambience, service and the spa was great! There was truly nothing for me to complain about during the review after the end of my session!
Without a doubt, My Cozy Room really lift up to its name! :)
