For most of you out there, when you hear about this place the first thing that comes to you is that it's a "Sports Mall".
One day just happend to pop by and saw there is this shop at unit 02-29 selling Custom made hand painted canvas shoes, heels, bags. Also got metal items ideal for coming x'mas gift. Maybe can just check it out or take a look at their blogspot.
It is kind of special as you can customise based on your own ideas & theme. It is quite hard to find a shop in singapore selling such stuffs. The shop is shared with a saloon...quite a new shop ....cheers
If you mention Queensway Shopping centre, the first thought that comes to mind for many people would be that it is a place to get sports related stuffs like sports shoes, rackets, sports wear etc at cheaper price. Ditto. That's just what this place is mainly. You will be able to find cheaper sportswear, sports shoes, FBTs etc here. Also there are shops selling clothes and accessories and it is quite good place to make printed shirts like class tees since I think there are quite a few stores doing customising shirts available here. I also heard the spectacles sold at the shop here are quite affordable too....
Do note that the shops selling sports shoes in Queensway Shopping Center are knowledgeable in the type of shoes you need for your kind of sport. They are able to advise you on the appropriate type you need for running/tennis/basketball, etc.
Also, your foot type is important. Flat feet, high arched, etc. There are shoes suitable for every type of feet.
I never received these advices when I went to Nike/Addidas direct for their outlets are manned by salespeople, who are not trained in sports matters.
Queensway Shopping centre has always being my favourite place to get my footwear and clothes. Besides getting cheaper sports shoes, there are many shops for nice clothes.
Their prices are mostly cheaper then those in the shopping malls. For instance, you can get a pair of track shoes at almost $20 cheaper.
Queensway shopping centre is actually quite similar to Penisular Plaza where you can get cheaper shoes and jeans or even jersey. Besides getting apparel, alot of students also go there to do photocopying or trophy making, t-shirt printing because you can get cheaper rates there.
There are quite a number of printing shops on the highest level.
After shopping at Queensway Shopping Centre, you can then cross over to IKEA to continue shopping. :)
If you're looking for sports shoes, this is the place to go. They have many shops selling sports shoes and most of them are cheaper than retail prices.
Sports apparel are cheaper as well. The more significant ones people look for will be adidas, nike and puma brand. The have it all there.
It will be even cheaper when they're having sales.
Other than that, there's also places to have a bite if you're feeling hungry after shooping(:
queensway shopping center has really undergo a drastic change throughtout the years. i remember many years back i used to go there for sporting equipments and really cheap jeans.
now there are more shops targeting the younger crowd and you can find a lot of good stuffs there. the pricing for the clothes and accessories are very reasonable, and it gets even better if you know how to bargain!
though it gets a little squeezy on weekends, but it is really worth going there and check out the place.
For most of you out there, when you hear about this place the first thing that comes to you is that it's a "Sports Mall". Need no further elaboration on that.
You can find many sporting brands up on the shelves such as Nike, Adidas, Umbro, Puma, Fila, Converse and many other regional brands. There are also shops selling casual and formal clothing.
Prices here are lower by at least 15% from retail price, while most goods are on 20% discount. Certain shops operate under a same owner but different shop name so don't be surprised if you are served by the same salesperson you see at the other stall.
Feeling hungry while shopping? Level 1 has a laksa stall, while a McDonald is available on level 2. Small bites are available at the central area of the mall on both level 1 and 2.
I have been living around here so I haven’t had problems locating shops but if you’re coming here for the first time, familiarise yourself with the way as you may get lost here as mentioned before.
But there are other facts you may not know as of yet. I'll let you in about it now. Other than sports equipments, it is also a convenient place where you can actually get services such as printing, photocopying, embroidery and trophies on level 3. Shops offering tee shirt printing are commonly seen too. It is also a great place to make your spectacles as there are many stalls (at least 5) operating on level 1, which makes it easier for you to see the different range of designs and comparison of prices. This is something most people fail to notice when they come here.
With that I hope you will realise this place has much to offer, most Singaporean should at least made at least 1 trip here before. If not, what are you waiting for? (:
