I usually frequent Kbox but decided to give this place a try. Overall, it was a gd experience. The env is quite clean.

Prices are cheap considering that it's 17 nett with free flow of drinks. Can sing from 11am - 6pm. The drinks are passable except the honey lemon drink. Honestly, it didn't taste anything like it should. The mango drink is much nicer. The rooms are abit on the small side but still acceptable.

The main downside is that their song titles are limited compared to other KTV places. Their japanese song selection is especially limited. Certain older chinese songs also cannot be found. Still, my friends and I still had a good time.

Hopefully their song selection can be widened. I foresee myself coming back.

After Breakfast, Me and Ling took the bus back to Bugis as we wanted to try the TopOneKTV. You know there's a building beside the ritz apple strudel? If i'm not mistaken, they have replaced the buliding for ICON, used to have a lot of shops there but i think all close down cause the traffic was really bad.. got converted to a KTV. Being Fanatic Singers, Me and Ling decided to pop by and see if the place is good..

Hmm..other than the poor English signs on the door and on adverts, there's really quite nothing much to complain about.. If u go during weekdays, you will only need to pay $17nett(inclusive of the KOD fee) to sing from 11am all the way to 7pm! No one will chase you out or stop your song halfway.. Plus points: You have up to 7 choice of drinks and they are unlimited~Free flow of drinks ! Which means you can keep ordering throughout and would not have the fear of feeling thirsty while singing..

The service of the staffs there are very friendly too.. much better than i expected sincei thought they offered such low pricing, their service would not get any better.. In fact, they were so much courteous as compared to other KTVs!

Maybe it's because there's only 2 of us, so our room is a little small.. It's pretty cold for a small room. but at least there are cushions for us to hug.. their mikes are also better.. I concluded that it's because they knew maintenance is very important.. so at the start of the session, the staff actually opened up protective covers to cover up the mike head..

Even though me and ling were sitting very closely, there isn't any screeching sound when we both sang together.. not like Kbox, your ears are in suffering mode constantly..

The interesting thing is their control for choosing songs, it's a machine not a remote to do it..But i personally like the way the songs are being group together.. It is really easier to find them as even english songs are group by singers and they can be selected together when u are choosing chinese songs as well.. Depending on how you search for them.. One more plus points: A lot of their English MTVs are originally done by the singers.. not some woman walking around or some ducks floating around.. One Can locate a whole lot more English songs too..

Oh one more thing, if you go as a big group and they give you a bigger room, it comes with a stage and you can choose your own lighting.. which includes disco or some patterns behind your stage..=)

I would highly recommend this place if you really like singing..Because, me and ling sang till about 5.30pm then we left the place..you really sing until your throat turns coarse.. SERIOUSLY..
