I frequent this departmental store.. I like it for its locations and it is usually not very crowded. They have a good range of products of pretty good quality and price i deem reasonable.

My favorite department is the skincare, perfume and toy department. The range and brands of the skincare/fragrances products are good and comprehensive. They have all the big names and the service is excellent. The staff was mostly kind to help and prompt as well as attentive. I usually have no problem asking for directions on the merchandise I would love to find...

The Toy department is also large with the latest models of toys usually available. Price is average, just similar to the other departmental stores... Love the fact that its not too huge as such I won't lose my shopping pals in the mall.

Metro is a great place to shop and this outlet is been there as though since I started shopping in orchard road.... When I shop here, it brings back the good memories of my childhood...

    Great Store

One of my favourite hangouts for simple discussions and meet-ups. Love the seats below the escalator, like a small little hide-away corner conspicuosly tucked away under the escalator to level 2. Its not exactly noisy yet not quiet.. but there are always ample seats for everyone. Though I think they shrank in size, I much prefer the old layout and deco as in the past they do have more couch seats and also a reading corner that I really love to spend my lazy afternoons tucked with a book and nice chilling air-conditioning.

I either go for the frozen yogurt or the yogurt based drinks like the mixed berry frappe or strawberry frappe which I find healthy, slimming and extremely tasty... Frankly I think they have the best valued frozen yogurt and I almost always go for the Couple sized which consist of 3 free toppings for S$4.50. Its a good mix of creaminess and icy-ness, however i love the generous toppings they give and makes a decent dessert especially after a heavy meal.

I also love the other drinks such as the cafe avocado frappe (S$6.50) for the larger sized, advocado and milk served with a dose of espresso and whipped cream with chocolate sauce and chips... Love it.... though its a heavy drink.

The donuts are yummy too.... Choose from MINI POPS to regular donuts or the ever so tantalizing cream filled ones with a varied of designs and flavour. My favourite will be the Don Mochino which has a spread of semi sweet dark chocolate sauced smeared all over the top and cream filling. as well as the Creme La Fame, which is a smooth caramel over the top with creamed fillings. The regular sugar dusted donuts are equally yummy. Retailing at S$1.60 a piece, I should say its worth the quality... How in the world can they make donust so fluffy and yummy.... With a drink, you get a discount on 2 donuts per drink.... of a bout S$0.50 per donut.

They also do serve breakfast and have salty breakfast donuts like a ham and cheese sandwich, however I have yet to try them as I believe, donuts should be eaten sweet :)

Pizza so Skinny that your belly will also get skinnier when you eat this. This is so not true, judging by the rich and yummy toppings on these pizzas, I'm sure to order more than one for myself. I love the crispy skinny crust that taste more like biscuits then regular pizza crust. I also love the healthy and wholesome flavors as well as the slogan: WHAT A CRACK :)

My favourite... has got to be the Squid Ink (S$25). Love the dark gray crust and the rings of squid with olives, herbs, greens and other good stuffs.. All you get is a mouthful of squid and wholesome herbs and other toppings; rather not a mouthful of bread or cheese or other regular stuffs.

Wild truffled mushroom (S$24) is also something you don't really get at a regular pizza joint. I love the musky scent of truffles on top of the musky mushroom. Its just simply healthy and nice.. no wonder its SKINNY....

The sides are great as well, we had the 1/4 metre long sausage S$6 ( they do come in 1 metre long which we find fun to have but too much to eat) while it is chewy and savoury, its pretty regular. We must have some greens and we ordered the macadamia crusted pumpkin salad (S$12) which is refreshing and sweet... and we love the fact that it is a mouthful to order with such a long name :)

The entire experience is great and the service is pretty prompt. Love the taste and the thin crust which allowed me to have more of the good stuffs without bloating my tummy with carbs and more carbs. Would love some lovely sweet desserts... hopefully in pizza style...which they do not carry.

Overall the food is pretty good, service prompt and love the whacky slogans and pizza flavours. When I'm at raffles city, I will visit again. Love the restaurant setting, its very casual however we could use more comfy seats and extra napkins perhaps some wet ones as well as the crusty pizza sits well with bare finger dining :)

As you enter the main lobby of the clubhouse you turn to your left.. and there is the entrance to Singapore's largest indoor playground. Its the haven for the children and for us adults as well.

Greeting you at the door, you will find a huge net with plenty of balls and crawling, running, shooting, screaming, shouting, laughing, giggling children like a huge organized mad house... With this, you will know that this place is truly PACKED WITH LOADS OF FUN! Tickets can be bought via the machine and also over the counter. You may buy the tickets (for a whole day till closing) for the children (S$12.85/child for safra members) and adults are only a flat rate of S$2.15/adult. They even have a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 child going at S$26.75. Grandpas and Grandmas enter for free... however, you need socks for everyone...

The place is huge and looking upwards I can see levels and levels of platforms with fun balls, guns, obstacles in all forms and all wrapped up in cushion to encourage free play. Once the kids enter the huge maze... they crawled through tunnel after tunnels and me being of a larger frame had a hard time catching up with them. Though the tunnels are made huge enough for adults to join in the fun, but somehow I cannot imagine how these kids can crawl soooo lightning fast. Even the tight corners can allow me to bask for awhile while other kids just slip past me. I love watching the children pick the colourful plastic balls into a huge shopping net bag and climb through the obstacles all the way to the top where the air guns were, wait for their turn, used up their ammo shooting at their giggling friends and then go further up a few more levels and hitch a ride down a winding slide to recount their footsteps in collecting ammo. It was a place of great fun and laughter as well as exercise for me.

Toilet is within the premises and remember to bring along water bottle, some snacks and socks as well as towel and spare clothes as these kids have so much fun, they tend to sweat alot though the air-conditioning is on.

Great place for me and the kids and it sure exhaust their batteries and gives me a good nights rest :)
Economical and great way to spend time with the kids and adults alike :)

Situated 5 mins walking distance away from the Jurong point shopping mall is this great SAFRA clubhouse for all those who had contributed their youth, sweat and blood to be enlisted for National Service. Its a great place to hangout as they have ample recreational facilities, restaurants and other facilities for you and your family and friends to spend the entire day.

This is how i spent my day at the SAFRA Jurong Clubhouse.. We booked a barbeque pit for some night Bbq, however we came early in the morning just to explore the place. Booking for the pit is a breeze with the online booking system and they do have ample parking space for the many vehicles we have (I've quite a sizable family). Brightly lit with pillars of vegetations on the walls makes the whole building look like a HUGE CAMOUFLAGER in the city. Once we arrived, we checked out the place and found the Kids AMAZA indoor play ground that the children wanted to go and booked a KTV room at level 2 for Singer wannabees to hang. So the kids were happy and the adults were also happy. Lunch was a breeze at Jack's place which is situated near the Lobby and I was glad I get a discount with the SAFRA card. There is also a Japanese Buffet Restaurant in the building which i find the price and the spread the have pretty worth it however, we are determined to keep out tummys for the BBQ afterwards.

When its about 5pm, I went down to the reception to do the administration and they kindly showed us to our pit. Our pit is nestled right next to the swimming pool and the children were hysterical. We also bought entry for 25 pax to have free access to the pool and its such a breeze in getting the kids to eat while they played at the wet playground section of the pool. The BBQ pit location has a shelter and its 2 pits to one shelter, total 6 pits in 3 shelters. Tables and chairs complete with stools and side benches were available and everybody have a place to park their bums... I love the fact that the pits are covered and its in pretty good shape, right next to it you can find a sink with tap for your easy washing as well as a huge bin for convenience. The location overlooked also the park connector beneath it and the occasional breeze made the BBQ more pleasant then it already was.

Great place and facilities, though I find the toilet a little too far and well hidden, overall the place is a great place to spend the day in. Oh Yar.. BBQ stops at 10... so be sure to be almost packed and ready to go as the security guards really do pop by and bring along mosquito repellents for your children... BBQ and swimming sure makes them eat more and expect alot of fun and laughter :)
