seriously, please avoid this beauty parlour if you wanna do more expensive services like nail extensions.

it should be pretty easy to locate as its at the aircon area of bugis street, level 2, right at the end, owned by several china ladies. its quite big with quite a number of customers. thinking that more customers means good bargains, i did my first acrylic extension in my life.

i was told that it'll cost me $70 after an 'analysis' of my nails. i agreed. it was till my turn, when another therapist said mine will cost $95 giving me many excuses like its more difficult blah blah. i agreed. she told me many nice things like shes giving me free cuticle care and a nail colour coat. french will only cost $5 more. $100 sounded quite reasonable to me and i agreed.

total bill added up to $110.90. when i asked where did the extra $10.90 come from, the cashier told me a colour coat is considered an express manicure thus the price. when i argue with her that my therapist told me its free, the therapist then denied and went one big round to confuse me with lotsa explainations.

told me itll last for at least a month, but on the third day, one of my extension fell off, when i was just scratching my head. be assured that i have no fleas in my hair, it was a light scratch.

was very disturbed and consulted two other more reputable nail parlours about the final results of my nails. guess what? both of them told me the 'extension have lifted' and will cause dangerous infection if water gets in. and that they applied the acrylic on my cuticle and the cuticles were not properly removed.

i had to spend another $50 to save my nails, in a different nail parlour of course. no way am i going back to venus

saw this cafe featured in a pets magazine and decided to check it out with my baby

anticipating for a real cool experience with maybe some food for the pets on the menu, id say im slightly disappointed. dont be mistaken, the bark cafe is referring to tree bark but not dogs barking :P which my friend was misled

they merely allow the presence of pets. i asked for water for my baby and they said they have no plates for it

food wise, my carbonara has a strong ginger taste, shrugs. and i had to wait pretty long for it, about 30mins? when there arent much people. but my friend's fried rice was good. average pricing of a main course is about $13-$18.

they have real nice gelato and brownie! four main course, two deserts and a jug of drink, cost us $120. id say its abit pricey.

ambience is good, but be prepared for some mosquito bites
