The Old Tiong Bahru Roast Specialist in Tanjong Pagar Food Centre is always so crowded.
So today, to avoid the crowd I purposely went for late lunch. when I reached there, it was what I have expected. No queue at all.
Normally during lunctime the queue is always super long. This stall was interviewed by quite a number of media which includes Channel U. Their roasted duck and meat are always so complete.
From the photos I took you can see the wide range of their roasted duck and meat. When I was queuing for my roasted duck rice, I was so tempted
to try their Char Siew because the gravy of the Char Siew is dripping which really makes me drool. But I did not order the char siew as well because I know I can't finish.
When the auntie served my plate of roasted duck rice I was very surprise because the serving is so big. So happily, I sat down and started to enjoy the rice.
The skin of the roasted duck is so crispy. The duck sauce is just right not salty at all. The meat is so tender and is not hard at all which compared to the common duck rice which I have tried they are really miles apart.
The big plate of Duck rice only caused me $3.50. Oh ya, the egg is not included I paid additional $0.50 for the egg.
Lastly, the duck meat is boneless. This is very important to me because although I'm a duck meat lover, I realy dislike eating those roasted duck served with bones because this really shows how insincere the stall uncle serve their food. Do give it a try if you pass by Tanjong Pagar.
I love going to AMK Hub because the shopping mall itself is very big it has many shops to shop. Amk Hub has many wonderful spots such as the super big Fairprice Xtra and the easy access Cathay Cinema. The shopping mall has attracted many residents residing in the north to visit. Besides the supermarket and cinema, AMK Hub also has many apparel shops and banks. Almost all the major banks like the UOB, OCBC, DBS and Citibank has a branch there. After shopping and running errands, shoppers can choose to take bus or train from the sheltered bus interchange and MRT station. Even if half way it rains, you won't get wet. Do do visit AMK hub when you are free.
Although in tanjong pagar food centre, there are many fish soup stalls but still this stall has the longest queue. The reason of its popularity could be the price which make the customers feel that it is really worht having. At $3.50, customers can get to eat a big bowl of Fish Soup.
It also comes with 4 choices of noodles or rice. They are mainly the mian xian, zu mee fen (the white mee - normally for laska), yi mian and rice. For rice, you will need to pay extra $0.50.
From my pictures, you can see how big bowl of fish soup they serve. Normally, such a big bowl will normally cost around $4 - $5. But here they are only selling at $3.50.
Personally, I love the frizzy fried eggs floss they add to the fish soup. The fish are seriously fresh too. They have 2 types of fish, mainly the fried type and the fresh slice fish. Customers can order a mixture of both.
I personally prefer the slice fish because I feel that it is more fresh. Fish soup lovers like me can also ask the friendly auntie to add condensed milk to the fish soup which will make the soup taste even more better.
Nowadays weather is changing, going to be winter period and everyday seems to be raining and working in a cold office will definitely makes you look forward to this delicious hot fish soup. Do give it a try!

This popular Lor Mee stall located at the Tanjong Pagar Market is always long queue. Of course long queue because who wants to miss this marvellous Lor Mee with tasty Fried Shark meat at only $2.50 a bowl? Initially, it was only $2 but now is $2.50.
The Lor Mee is unique because of the Fried Shark Meat and the bossy even added the crumbs of the fried shark meat to the Lor Mee making it taste so crunchy. The Lor Mee comes with lots of additional ingredients like the sliced chilli, garlic, black vinegar and the little leafty. However, after eating it, I feel quite thirsy, not sure is it because the gravy is too salty? Also, the garlic is so strong that after eating the Lor Mee, I immediately go to the fruit stall and get a slice of papaya to "wash" away the garlic taste. But still there.
No choice I need to get some sweets to blend the garlic taste otherwise the same person who talks to me will definitely faint. The Lor Mee taste good and today is not my first time having it but don't know why I find the portion of the Lor Mee shranked.
So the next time I go I will need to order the $3 one.
Also, if you notice from my pictures, this stall has been interviewed by many popular media.
So do give it a try if you happen to pass by Tanjong Pagar area.
Swee heng bakery has quite a number of outlets. Their bakery shop has many varieties of breads and cakes. Especially their breads, which are nice and affordable.
The price of their bread normally range from $0.90 to $1.00. You can check out their website for some of the types of bread they are selling. One of my favourite is the Sushi Roll. It really taste great.
The fillings is quite tasty and crunchy. Their coffee bread is somehow similar to the Rotiboy, which used to be quite famous. Also, their Meat floss bun is also quite similar to breadtalk but definitely cheaper than breadtalk.
They always have different types of bread selling everyday. So you won't feel bored when you need the bread for your breakfast daily. For instance, today they are selling the sushi roll, tomorrow you might not find it in their shop.
Yesterday I just bought their promotion bread, they are selling 2 loafs of 4 little buns at $2.50 only. if you are purchasing only 1 loaf it will cost $1.50 and it is freshly baked from the oven.
Lastly, if you visit their shop around 8pm onwards when they are about to close, they will have "lelong" for the breads. Meaning, you can get more breads at cheaper price.
From here we can tell that they talk keep their bread overnight. Meaning everyday they are selling freshly baked bread. I will give a 4 stars rating.
