Boy, boy, boy! We already went here twice and it didn't fail us at all!
Food: Great! The meat quality? Perfect.
People: Warm. In fact there was this staff who's all proud as he was the one who made the skewered meat he was offering us. We're delighted by his enthusiasm and yes, the grilled meat was delicious! They will really tell you what's good.
Place: Ambience was good and cozy.
Location: Not so accessible as the locations is just a bit off the main roads where buses normally are routed to go (but i think there are a few bus services going around that area though).
meat, Meat, MEAT ! all sorts of meat... beef, mutton, chicken, pork, fish; with various styles for each kind. It aint a good idea to walk in as they may not have seats for you. We happened to pass by the VivoCity branch and decided to give it a shot... 5 of us were given a 4-seater table. Kinda cramp, but after seeing the spread at the salad bar, well, tat compensated the bad seatings.
I love greens, so i selected some leaves and my favourite black olives as my starter. Also tried the 'corn soup'... it was too sweet to my liking. There was also rice and pasta salad for ppl who need carbohydrate.
The servers would walk around the restaurant with the slab of meat. Tried all (except mutton) and my favourites were:
Beef ham - it was soooo juicy and soft! High fats content though, not for the health conceious
Chicken drumlet - honey glazed? smoke? i aint sure... but the meat was soft and tender
Pineapple - sweet! doesnt 'cut tongue', a good choice after all the meat tat went down your digestive system
We paid $40ea on a Fri night, walking out of the restaurant with bloated stomachs. A FULL-filling experience indeed
Yes I agree! I've been to this place once. Never heard of it actually, though it is supposedly a very popular place (or so I've heard). When I got there, I thought it was some random place you'll find at district 10, but when the food was served, it proved that it was not just "yet another place around the block".
This place is definitely for meat lovers, especially those with a super HUGE appetite! It's almost like a eat-all-you-can place, with the huge servings. It's not just a meat place, their desserts are not bad too! I remember the chocolate souffle that I had there. It was good!
Worth your time. (Only that the place could get really packed. A crowded place in a restaurant with limited space is not exactly an ideal place to dine for me. )
