Fish & Co is one of the places that pops into mind when craving the English staple of Fish & Chips. Remember many a O.G. (read: Orientation Group) outing that ended up here for dinner? Yup, it's still a teen hangout.

Every once a while, Fish & Co has a promotion which makes their meals very worth your money. The $9 Autumn Seafood Sensations promotion was one of them.

    1) Swiss Fish and Chips (promotional price of $9): Dory fish fillet battered and fried with cheese in the middle, topped with a cheese sauce. It was creamy and cheesy and generous in portion (for the price).

    2) Captain’s Catch (promotional price of $9): Dory fish fillet, breaded and topped with bbq sauce, and served with clams and rice. The tangy bbq sauce seemed a bit generic and straight out of a bottle but still, it went nicely with the fish. Both fish were fresh, and the rice was fragrant and fluffy.

Went early to have dinner as today's Valentine's Day.

Hubby wants to eat at Fish&CO, thou we were the 1st at the queue, we waited for almost 10min coz of not enough staff and tables not cleared in time.

When we got our seats, immediately we ordered their Valentine's menu, which only for today, no other menu was available today.

The Menu for 2 which includes any 2soup/salad, 2maincourse or 1 seafood platter to share and 1drink for $49.90 .

Our soup came less then 5minutes but not hot and it took them another 5minutes for our drinks. After 25minutes, our maincourse came. Extremely long wait, usual will take only 10-15minutes for main course to be served.

While waiting for our main course, a few issues happened. A waiter came and served us soup, Hot with smoke, I told him we had our soup, he went back to the kitchen. Then another waitress came with 2drinks, looking at our ice tea on the table, she still asked if we ordered another round of drinks.

I wondered is it because of the crowd today, that's why they are so confused.

After we foot our bill, we wasn't given any mint like usual days.

Probably it's crowded and busy, they cut the giving mint routine.

Anyway, maybe the confusion it's only for today, hopefully :)

Was having dinner at Fish & Co, Suntec on Sunday. The crowd was lesser than on Satudays and lucky for us, there wasn't a queue. We were shown to an empty table almost immediately and given the menu. (The changed their menu and now comes in lunch and dinner versions.)

We ordered our usual, Swordfish Collar and Platter for One. The waiting time for our food to be served was alright, the usual waiting time. As always, the food was nice and warm.

Couple of things that I would like to mention here... First we saw a black substance in our Passion Fruit drink, which my bf said looked like a fish scale... hmm... we asked for a new glass, and they did immediately replaced it for us. Then the other one was the missing sides (vegetables) from bf's swordfish collar. Instead, the plate was filled with more rice. Puzzled, we asked for help. The manager (we suppose) came over and then he went into the kitchen to check. He came back with a wok of vegetables and said that the kitchen thought we requested for all rice. (This I think the waiter who took our order heard us wrongly. We asked for rice instead of chips. But not rice instead of veges.)

No matter who was at fault for the above incidents, the most important thing is the friendly and no-fuss service that they've given us. We enjoyed the dinner. Will sure go back for dinner another day. But we will miss the mint they used to give after payment. (Or did they happen to run out of it on Sunday? Hmm...)

By the way, Fish & Co is also a good place to celebrate birthdays at. The entire staff (even from the kitchen) will come together to sing the birthday gal/guy their version of birthday song! So cool! (Good place to bring a friend so that you can "sabo" the birthday friend! Cos it's kinda embarrassing with everyone's attention on you.)
