Wah!! So long queue.... That was our reaction when we decided to check out this place. This famous stall has achieved many good reviews from newspapers to TV foodie programmes that we die die must try it.
After waiting for about half an hour, we finally got to taste it. The first mouthful was indeed delicious. The fried noodles was full of traditional flavour. Its taste has brought us fond memories of our young days where our mothers would bring our own eggs to be added as eggs were considered luxury ingredients.
Each plate comes with a mixture of two types of noodles, beansprouts, chives, sausages, cockles and yeap, crispy fried pork lard. This unhealthy item ( but played a major part ) is so crispy and freshly fried that once you bite them, it is oooh...
The noodles are fried with such high heat and observing how the old man controlled the frying technique was enough to confirm that the wait was worth it.
Give this place a try if you are craving for it. But be prepared to wait as good food always command a big crowd
