It's a great family shopping centre unfortunately lately has been congested with so many foreign workers. They are not there to shop but to eye on the domestic helpers. They even approached them(the maids), give them their contact and asked for their employer's address. My maid told me she is very scared everytime we go there cause the workers came in groups. They will followed her from Daiso to Giant and even waited outside the toilet! WARNING: Never leave your kids with maid alone. No longer a safe place to shop.

Not a very good place to shop unless you are renovating your home or shopping for gocery. If you really wish to go shopping for clothes, shoes, etc. you could probably do better in a downtown shopping centre or other heartland malls that are devoted almost exclusively to shopping.

In IMM only the first 2 storeys are occupied by apparels and F&B outlets. The upper floors are for furniture stores, renovation & interior designs firms, and there is indeed a large number of such stores for you to choose from as there is market concentration. However Courts can't be found here.

At level one, there is the hyperlarge Supermarket Giant, so if you wish to stockpile on your foods and other daily necessities, this is a place to visit. There is probably some discount too because of the bulk supplies the store order. But it is large, if you are only shopping for a few items you may prefer to shop in your neighbourhood supermarkets.

The Espirit here only sells discounted and past seasons' clothings, and some t-shirts.

Usually, there is a long queue at the taxi-stand.

IMM, or otherwise known as "International Merchandise Mart", is one of the shopping centres managed my CapitaLand. I have been there many times. My frequent visit would be at Giant, to shop for some daily necessities and also shop for Chinese New Year goods before the festival. To me, IMM is quite near as I live at Jurong West.

In 2007, IMM had a makeover and it now has 3 new levels of shops, and an extra parking space at the 5th floor. Now, some of the facilities that the Mall has are, Indoor Playgrounds located on levels 2 & 3, Kids' Corner at level 3 and MotherCare. In all, IMM is a building which accommodates retail, warehouse, office space and finally, shopping space. All built into one shopping centre, making it almost a multi-purpose shopping mall.

In IMM, there are a lot of F&B outlets. Some of them include the fastfood outlets like KFC and McDonald's. There's also the high-class ones like Baystreet 21, Long Beach Seafood and Hoshi Japanese Restaurant. Wow, talking about these already makes me drool with delight, haha.

Going back to the facilities that the mall has, children can enjoy themselves at level 3, where a mini theatre-***-playroom regularly screens cartoons and children's movies. This makes going to IMM a better shopping experience.

One store I would like to recommend to you guys is the Daiso Japanese Store. This store sells CDs, titbits and daily necessities. Something good about this store and you may know it is that, all the things they sell are $2. Be it gardening, home or pet supplies, as well as toiletries, they have it all, mostly imported from Japan.

To sum up, IMM is definitely one of the best "hybrid " shopping malls, providing everything from retail sales to eating to shopping needs. That's why, you must give this mall a go!
