Lavender Food Centre is one of the most well loved place Singaporean like go for really yummy local fair. Though the nearest MRT which is lavender MRT is about a ten minutes walk away, a few buses towards city pass by here. It is pretty near to the city (Bugis) however not of walking distance.
They serve up a good choice of yummy chinese food, in the morning, I would always love to have the pig trottle minced meat noodle from Kim's, a poh piah from another stall and some Dim Sum like dumplings, braised meats and yam cake (most delicious of them all).
In the afternoon and evenings, you must try the prawn noodle served in claypots. One of the most delicious prawn noodle I ever had and not forgetting the famous frog leg porridge which is smooth, savoury and herbalicious.
There are much to choose from, the seats and plentiful and parking as well is easy. Though the prices are slightly above average, I find it reasonable for the quality and portion. A must go for me, at least twice a month.
