I lived/worked in New York for a year and had my hair trimmed and colored several times at one of the top salons in the city. This is what I have to say: Andy is as good, if not better, than the stylists in New York! He is current and knows exactly what it takes to create the look that is best for you (be it sassy, sexy, elegant, executive, whatever!). He is also extremely attentive and patient, and gives his very best to each and every one of his clients. I have been seeing Andy for 10 years now, and each time I walk out of Platform, I walk out happy, confident and super chic.

Before Andy, I was a product of "factory" salons - outlets which are bent on making all their customers look the SAME! I've got naturally wavy hair and the hairdressers love to ask me where I permed it and if I want to straighten it. And the colours they gave me are similar to the lady sitting next to me.. everytime.
Then I met Andy through a friend and the rest, I can say, is history. He chopped off my long hair and gave me a short buzz which I totally loved! (and I am not someone who can carry off short crops very well, till Andy). Till now, almost a decade on, I've not looked to anyone but Andy for my haircuts and colourings. Short or long hair, Andy treats my crowning glory with tender, loving care and won't let me leave my seat till he is totally satisfied of a job well done. I have no complaints about being treated like a queen from the moment I step into Platform salon till I leave. And the best part is, I don't have to tell him how I want my hair done. He just takes one look and decides what's best for me. And the end result never once disappoints. Meticulous, dedicated, creative and trustworthy - that's Andy Chong for you. :)

I have been to countless hairstyists but I have never met someone like Andy, who will put in all his efforts just to perfect a haircut. As my hair is naturally wavy and i had previously rebonded my hair, it is definitely a tedious task to have a nice haircut without going through further chemical treatments but Andy CAN do it!!! it's just unbelievable!!! I have never gone back to other hairstylists since. Lately, I have received compliments from strangers. It is definitely not pricey when I can look groomed and confident after each visit. I have also recommended Andy to my aunt and she is addicted too! :)
