Popeyes never fails to whet the appetite with New Orleans Spicy and Louisana Mild chicken served with our signature red beans and rice, Cajun fries and fresh buttermilk biscuits.

Through careful research and testing, Popeyes offers a variety of great testing, Popeyes offers a variety of great tasting menu selections. Most importantly, the food is always fresh, high quality, and delivered to customers with the flavour they crave.

    Disappointing...

Of all the places to eat in T3, my friends chose this. So fine, okay...wasn't feeling very fast food-ish but since I haven't tried it before either, I thought I'll give it a shot.

For $6.90, I got the chicken strips meal which was 3 pieces of chicken strips, a small pack of cajun fries, 1 of their famous biscuits, and regular size ice tea (they didnt have coke light...bah).

The chicken strips came looking very small and pale, like those cooked-but-not-really-cooked-properly kind of colour. Not too oily to their credit but taste wise was rather bland, even the batter wasn't as crunchy as expected.

The cajun fries was bad. Limp cold fries seasoned with something which made it look like cajun but definitely has no taste in it.

Their infamous biscuit...I kind of like it. Slightly crispy and saltish crust on the outside but soft on the inside, abit like the cheese bun from Provence like of texture. Some people may find it bland though. And it sticks to your teeth so be prepared.

Their main dish, the chicken, and fries which is an essetially component of fast food, failed miserably. Should have busted my calorie count on Carls Junior instead. If I have to return next time, i'd probably grab 2 biscuits 1 drink.

I wonder what's the hype about it?

Dont understand why it's called popeye when they are not serving spinach but junk food. Anyways, I do enjoy junk food :P

I find their chicken pieces pretty tender and their set meal is value for $. And yes, their biscuits with jam is nice too.

Food was ok. But their service is rather slow. I have been there 3 times and each time I have to queue up like 10 mins before I get served. Super long queue.

Their staff are also not like Macs where they will ask whether you want their promotions eg. buy this for only $2 etc. So I ended up paying for normal price when I decided to buy a brownie which would have been much cheaper if I bought it together with my meal :(

Popeyes Chicken And Biscuits   Popeyes Chicken And Biscuits

On the way to T1 fetch my dad, My BF and I decided to have dinner at Popeyes chicken as I have craving for it. It my second visit, the first visit were good impression.

We order a set meal as it actually look cheaper.

        1 Set Meal
Yup, the set meal actually come with 2 ice lemon teas, 4 pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of Biscuits, 1 packet of french fries, 1 Mashed potato and 1 colesaw.

We got chicken ribs, drumsticks and chicken wing. The chicken were hot, crispy, juciy and tender. It really very good. The french were hot and crispy. A bit of pepper taste.

For the mashes potato is hot, soomth and creamy. It a bit spicy as there is pepper. As for the coleslaw, it has cabbages, carrots and onions. There is one of vegetables inside which I really not sure what it is. But overall it still not bad. Last but not least it is the biscuits, at first I though is bread but it not. The biscuits were crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Can taste it made of butter and flour. It goes well with jams too.

It really taste yummy! Better then KFC. As for serivce I think they really need to improve.

        Total Bill: $14.50

I was a fan of Popeye's chicken, but I'm no longer one.

I was lured to their outlets at Changi Airport by the taste of their chicken , which is fabulicious.
But I have to say, the service there absolutely sucks!

Not only do you have to contend with long queues, and yes, the staff is slow and they are not very friendly.
That aside, they tend to miss out items you ordered!

I have been there 4 times, both eating in and taking out and I must say that half the time, my order was not complete!

Last time I was there, April 16th, I placed a takeaway order of a 3 piece chicken meal.
When I got home, I discovered that my drink was only half filled, there was no jam to go with the biscuit and no ketchup/chilli sauce.
OK, never mind that... but when I opened up the box of chicken, I realised that they did not pack my fries either!

Angry, I called up the outlet. The team leader came to the phone and told me she will call me up very shortly to address my problem.

I waited for more than an hour for her, she didn't call back.

Fuming, I called again. This time, perhaps sensing my anger, she apologised and offered to mail me a complimentary voucher for a 2 piece chicken meal, which I accepted.

My anger was also somewhat appeased when later, the manager called to apologise and reassured me that he will speak to his staff and make sure something like that doesn't get repeated.

Well, it's been more than a month after the incident, and I'm still awaiting for my voucher...Honestly don't think it will come...

I really wish the management does something to improve service quality.
If this continues, they are likely to lose their customers, no matter how fantastic their chicken tastes.

Not sure which outlet you went. T3 had another outlet. I would prefer T3 as they have a bigger area.

My family and I patronised this outlet in Singapore Flyer last evening at around 8.30 p.m.. While the food is acceptable, the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the place are highly undesirable.

First, there wasn't staff to clear the tables. We had to clear the trays and clean the tables ourselves. The service was slow. While we were eating, we saw some paper cups drop on the floor within the counter area. A manager dressed in black simply picked them up and put them back into the slot ready to be used! Then one of the staff (non-Chinese) was wiping the table top and there was left over ice from the earlier refill simply swept them into the ice tray!

Subsequently, we saw 2 workers cleaning the trays and they were not professionally dressed with long hair and clothes not professionally presented.

At the chilli/tomato counter, there was an spill chilli which was left there uncleaned for the entire 30 mins. Staff walked past this counter which is next to the serving counter but nobody took notice of it.

In addition, the floor was also dirty with unwanted tissue papers, fries etc. While we were leaving, the kitchen (from the view where we could see) was dirty and messy.

We were certainly turned off by the sight. Being in the food industry and sited in such a prestigous place, something has got to be done to improve. It's a bad image for Singapore!

While I would not challenge the tasty food, I give a big thumbs down for the hygiene and cleanliness of the place.

I didn't know Popeye existed initially despite having worked at Changi Airport before. It was partly due to my staffs who were going crazy over their mashed potatoes and before long, I took the plunge and try it for myself. I mean, if it doesn't taste that good, I won't go back anymore. And seriously, I have to slap myself for saying that comment. Their chicken is superb, dare I say better than KFC. Their mashed potato isn't simply just mashed potato only, there's something more inside that makes them yummylicious, compared to KFC. And who can forget the fries? Absolutely perfect!! And soon before long, I found myself drawing from the ATM on a too-regular basis just to satisfy my cravings from Popeye's!! In my opinion, we should petition for Popeye to take over KFC in all the major and minor shopping centres in Singapore as KFC's standard has drastically dropped over the years.

Popeyes Chicken And Biscuits   Popeyes Chicken And Biscuits

Finally after a very long wait, I happened to have the chance to try out the chicken which everyone is raving about, saying that it is much better than KFC. Well I don’t think KFC is that good to start off with. Since we need to send people off airport, I decided to make use of this chance to try it out.

So excited when we reached there, as usual there is a long queue going on, well 4 people in front of me. There are 3 counters serving at the same time but only one queue. They worked in the way of how you queue at the bank. Not a bad thing but then some people might be put off by the very long one queue.

Seem that it is very popular among a lot of people as they all bought a lot of sets meals, and thus explains the long waiting time as well. Well three counters, so only three people serving at the same time. Since I am so keen on trying it, I wait! Wahahaha…..

I ordered a two piece meal that comes with a side dish and a drink. Their chicken got a choice of spicy and mild version as well. Well I ordered one of each, and got one big piece of big breast meat and one small little chicken wing. Ordered their Cajun fries as the side dish and got a cup of coke. Also added coleslaw as side dish as well. The set also comes with their famous biscuit as well. It comes with a small pack of strawberry jam.

May the tasting begin! I am not a big fan of breast meat but I like thie breast meat. It is crispy on the outside but soft and juicy on the inside. It is not dry at all. The flour covering the chicken is not very thick and it got a hint of herbs being used as well. Taste great! Definitely beats KFC hands down. The thing is both of us could not taste the different between mild and spicy version. Hmm…. Or we got both the same version. Their fries are good enough of their own. It is crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. Seems like they seasoned it with herbs as well. Good! Their coleslaw tasted like the coleslaw that KFC used to produce in the 80s. It is good with big chucks of cabbage and enough mayo to taste. Finally the famous biscuit, it is hard on the outside but soft and fluffy inside. On its own, it tastes like a butter biscuit, but do find it a bit dry and hard to sallow. Together with the strawberry jam, it tastes better.

Overall, I think the fried chicken rocks here but hope that they do open other outlets soon! Hopefully in town! Then now I am officially a Popeyes Fried Chicken Fan!
