Teochew slice fish soup located at stall No 66 at Maxwell Hawker Centre. It serves slice fish soup and/or seafood with rice, porridge, mee sau or bee hoon (thin and fat ones). The type of fish they are available are pomfret and mackerel. It comes with "help yourself" sliced young ginger, garlic paste, chili padi and fermented beans and on request fried lard (very high cholesterol but once a while OK). I have tried many clear fish soup stalls and I found this to my liking. During lunch hours, there is always a long queue. I notice there is also a makansutra award certificate hanging at the stall. The stall is open from 7 am to about 4.30 pm while stock lasts and on Saturdays it closes around 2.30 pm. It is close on public holidays. Worth giving it a try!
