Bought the bowl of cakes with mixed carrot cake and yam cake, and it cost $3.
Firstly on the portion, it was fair and we were very full after we finished the whole bowl;D
As for the taste, it was pretty good too! I like it for how it is soft and can be easily consumed. It even seems to melt a little in your mouth.(:
There were the fried shallot onions too, which made the carrot and yam cakes more palatable and fragrant.
Just the cakes themselves without any sauce, the flavour is really rich…and not too sweet or salty, at just the right taste.
Changing the flavour slightly with the chili sauce or the sweet sauce, it still taste as delicious:D
However, we got a little tired of it when we almost finished the whole bowl, probably because it is made of flour afterall? But overall it was a nice dish which could fill us up for lunch.(:
