    Ice cream!!!

My friends and I wanted to find a place to sit down for a chit chat and also to have some ice cream dessert after a not-satisfying meal. Decided on this place as there are small round tables for us to crowd around to chit chat as well for an ice cream.

Having sat down, my friends and I looked through the menu but because one of my friends and I would need to rush off soon, we decided to get a scoop of ice cream each to be taken away. But then, we were told by their waitress that if we were to take away our orders, we could not occupy the seats meant for dine-in customers only. At that point, my friends who were still at the table were still deciding on their orders. Even though I told them this, my friends were still being chased out of their seats.

What I noticed was that none of the waitress was willing to serve me at the cashier before my friends got chased out. I can't help but wonder if it's because they wanted to make sure that my friends were successfully chased out of the place before they can accept my payment as for take away orders. Just for that 10% service charge & 7% GST, this was what they did to their customers? That's very wrong of them!

Andersen's is undoubtedly my favourite place to satisfy the occasional ice cream craving.

For sure, there's Ben & Jerry's as well as Häagen-Dazs, but neither of them hits my sweet spot as well as Andersen's does. Just the mere mention of Belgian Chocolate Chip sends one into throes of ecstasy.

As if their delectable range of ice cold confections weren't enough, their menu offers gorgeous combinations of ice cream & various tasty peripherals at awesome prices.

Affordable/scrummy ice cream in a comfortable setting (so long as you ignore the voyeurs), what more could one ask for?

My only complaint is that their policy of take-away/dine-in isn't clearly stipulated; twice thus far have I witnessed people being shooed from the premises just because they weren't informed beforehand of this particular policy.

A simple signboard would've sufficed to avoid such embarrassment.

Andersen's of Denmark has been in the basement of Parkway for as long as I can remember. It used to just be a counter where you had to buy and have your ice cream on the go. But it recently revamped (along with the rest of Parkway) and now has some sitting area which is both interesting (for people watching) and annoying (when people peep over your shoulder to see your food).

Last week, I visited the place with friends on a quiet weekday afternoon. Parkway was still bustling with activity so there were people sneaking glances at our food. It's alright if you aren't the conscious type but if you are I would suggest to order takeaway.

Anyway we had the couple fondue. There were 3 of us and we couldn't finish it after a meal at Sakae... it was our dessert and one which was nice. The chocolate tasted good. There were 5 small scoops of icecream but there wasn't many flavours to choose from. There was a variety of fruits, wafer, marshmallows, etc.

It was cheap at $17, compared to some places that charge $25-$40 for the same serving.
