Once again, their portobello mushroom burger is really great, if not just a bit oily and a wee bit expensive (for a 'double' its about $12, for a 'single' patty its around $10).
Yes its a big burger, but just think a bit bigger than big mac. I try not to eat here too much cause its just expensive.
Their criss-cross fries reminds me of the one at Macdonalds, just that its seasonal over at mac.
I prefer the fries with meat pieces (sort of like bak chor) on top. Beef-cut fries i think. Its really nice, though at $5 its just a bit steep.
Did i forget to mention that their burgers come packed with large slices of tomatoes, lettuce and onion? It gets a bit hard to eat sometimes.
They serve salad, so its great for people who decides not to eat meat on that day, or just vegetarians in general.
One thing i really like about Carl's Junior is their free flow of drinks. I always drink their ice lemon tea (you have to fill up the iced tea, and then add enough sweetener to your hearts' content).
Trivia: Do you know Ice lemon tea is best served really cold? Next time you come to Carl's Junior, fill up your large cup FULL of ice, before adding in 85% iced tea and 15% sweetener. Your Iced tea will really be iced, and it feels really great :)
Only complaint i have about Carl's junior are the prices, but if you go there once a month or so its fine~
1) Large leg space (tick) 2) Good sound system 3) Gives the impression that the entire cinema is very big.
However, i also dislike GV Vivocity for a few reasons:
1) Other than sentosa, eating and walking.. there's really nothing much to do at Vivo. 2) The screen is so big that it overwhelms me. Had some problems trying to capture the entire 'essence' of the screen.
I would say this is on par with the Cathay, but i would vote the Cathay for better accessibility and activities after~
Found out that Jurong West Sports Complex had a Sakura International Buffet quite some time ago, and finally got the chance to go there with my family.
At around $114 for 4 adults, it works out to be about $28.50 per person (including GST). There's a $2 surcharge for weekends, and its more expensive during dinner, so i guess we came at the most expensive time.
Its the first time i've been to Sakura International and i must say i was pretty amazed at the array of food.
There were Japanese food, from sushi all the way to sashimi. Raw food like mussels and oysters. Asian food like noodles, veggies, cooked meat. Made-to-order food like Satay, lamp chops, grillled dory, beef with bbq sauce and so forth.
And for dessert, there were many small little cakes; marble, chocolate fudge, and many others. Also featuring various puddings like grape and mango. And of course, ice cream.
I didn't eat the ice cream though, as i was too full by then.
However... the sashimi is relatively tasteless, and the unagi may be a tad too salty for comfort. Their shark's fin soup is very thin and bland as well.
All in all, its a wonderful place to eat at, especially after you've finished a swim~

This place has been here ever since West Mall opened quite a few years back, and business has always been brisk.
There are around 7-8 tables directly outside the restaurant for smokers, so you can smoke in peace.
The food is okay, nothing special as compared to other BK outlets and the service crew and nothing stands out.
There are around 8 counters, though i usually see 4 open at one time.
One thing is you don't have to queue up too long thanks to the speed of the crew working there.

Yeah, it is also easy on the body posture too esp if the movie runs long.
