i was feeling rathered depressed and have been having insomnia. my gp recommended me to see a psychiatrist instead to help solve my underlying problems for insomnia.
becoz of budget wise, i went to IMH initially and frankly, the psychiatrist is really not as professional as I thought. it was more of an interrogation then to show care and concern to a patient.
thus i decided to go raffles hospital which is my personal favourite hospital. the counselling centre, was nicely and neatly decorated. feeling quite embarrassed to see a psychiatrist, the staff there were very polite and really let me feel at ease.
it wasnt long before i see my psychiatrist and he's totally different from the one at IMH. he listen to my problems attentively and kept knoding his head to show that he understand my situation.
i was given 2 weeks of medication and the total bill add up to about $200. i am totally fine with it although it may seem abit expensive but the psychiatrist i saw was a very popular one in singapore. and through conversations, i felt that he understand me, unlike the IMH one who seems more like an interrogator. price is not as issue to me in this case as id like to be kind to myself.
I had to follow my japanese client as he wasnt feeling well during this business trip in singapore. i was lost for a moment as my client's english is not that perfect and I am worried to transmit the wrong msg to the doctor.
my colleague then told me there is a japanese clinic in raffles hospital. without much of a choice, i brought my client there.
frankly, i can see the broad smile on him when he found out that some of the staff there are japanese. the medical treatment is normal i guess, my client recovered soon.
but im quite impressed by raffles hospital for them being so considerate.
Out of the many mala steamboats i have tried, id say this is the best one ive had.
firstly, its more nicely decorated with higher standard of hygiene. secondly, the sauces are good, and lastly the food are fresh.
there seems to be many photos of celebrities taken in the shop so i assume its quite popular. they have many unique soup base for their steamboat too. for the more normal chicken soup i opted for, there are really drumsticks in the soup, which is quite tasty.
however, its quite expensive as they do charge for the soup and when you asked for a mixture of two soup base, they have to charge you double. it costed me about 60 plus dollars for a 2 person meal.
i went into this shop just out of curiosity about diving.
when i was being approached by the owner on how can he help me, i was rather awkward but told him im not a diver and am just curious, expecting him to give me some dirty looks.
contradictory, he was very nice and introduced the sports to me in much details and humour. he told me where can i take my courses, share with me his funny experiences, what kind of equipments will i need and i think we basically chit chatted for near to an hour.
even though i did not purchase anything from him, i can feel his enthusiasm to share with me his interest and gave me much recommendations. before i leave the shop, he still gave me a brochure and told me to call him if i wanna find out more about anything else.
its the hospitality of such shop owners that makes customer feels good

Original price was $40 a box (5 pieces) but they were going at $10. Too bad I didnt have enough money with me else I would have bought more.
I just tried using their birdnest mask and frankly, i felt very skin instantly moisturized (dunno if its psychological) and pretty radient.
For the price i paid, i think its really quite worth it. Im not too sure if they still have the warehouse sale, but theres no harm calling to ask.
I recommend their products.
