What happend to Natsu olso happened to me once at the AMK branch!... Maybe the stuff are not well trained to spot who and who came first!

Despite the queue cutting experience, I am a fan of their yogurt as I like the texture of their yogurt which is very much like cottage cheese and the overall flavour isnt too overpowering nor creamy hence a medium size is just nice for an average singaporean girl.

Their yogurt comes in many flavours but my personal favourite is still the plain one as their yogurt is good even if its on its own. Another flavour that I would recommend is the berries flavour as they are very generous with the berries and berries are a good source of antioxidants!

I used to work very near to PS hence the place has been a place where I had regular lunches during weekdays and a place to hang out with my colleagues after work. Nowadays, I still visit the place occasionally because PS's selection of shops is good and the outlay of the place is extremely easier for someone like me whose bad with direction to navigate.

I particularly like the Gelare at level 4 because it is situated on a bridge and you can do a bit of people watching while resting your tire soles and enjoying your waffles n ice cream.

The selection of shops are pretty good in my opinion as there seems to be something for everyone esp the carrefour supermarket which carries almost everything under the sun!

As compared to other shopping malls like Centre Point and WISMA, what PS do not have is probably a wide array of cosmetic counters as there isn't a decent departmental store in PS. Hence you may not be able to find items like Clinique or Shisedo in PS.

However, PS did a huge revamp of its B2 whereby they have converted the whole place into a mini food place and added many interesting food vendors like SAYBONS/QQRice/. This is an interesting concept to make shopping for food such a fun and convenient experience ( Bugis Junction also recently did a major overhaul to its B1 n also turn it into food street).

Overall, I think PS is a shopping mall which I would go to over and over again.....

        3. AMK Hub

AMK HUB is a place I will passby on (almost) daily basis because I need to go to the interchange within the HUB to take the feederbus service. As a AMKian, I used to detest this mall to the core as it was always crowded, dirty ( a lot of stains on the floor) and there is this awful stench from the durian pancake store when you take the escalator down to the NTUC hypermart.

Nowadays, I grew to slowly like the mall as I discovered that there's good mixture of shops at B1 as well as level 2 for bargain hunters like me. You can get a pretty decent pair of shoes for less than $30 and cardigans going for $10! I think the landlords do know that this is utlimately a heartlander mall and shops selections should catered toward such groups.

The only complain for the mall is properly the design of the mall and the lack of clear signage. For instance, there was once when I noted that many shoppers were not able to use glassdoor ( the one facing mcdonalds) because it was closed after 10pm. However, as the signage wasnt that obvious, I saw many frustrated shoppers trapped at the outside and the inside of the glass door, figuring how to go to other side. Most gave up and took the long cut , some spewed vulgarities at the door and tried to "force" open the door. I think the landlord can consider extending the timing or put clearer signs so that people are aware that the entrance is closed at 10pm.

Aside to this, I think AMK is a nice mall that exudes a warm heartlander spirit and offers a good selection of goods for your average joe....

          4. The Central

The Central is considered to be one of those shopping centres that are not the conventional type ( there's no major department store/no supermarket/no movie theatre...not even macdonald's). Hence this explains the lack of crowds even during weekend which is a good thing for someone like me who doesnt like sardine packed malls. However, there seems to be a lack of identity for mall.... on one hand, there's a good selection of japanese restaurants like the Murutanan Ramen and Waruku, on the hand you will find cheap cosmetic and accessories shops tugged at another corner... As much as I adore the peace and quiet, I will not even considered going there again except for the Murutama Ramen...I think the selection of shops are simply not enticing and causes confusion as you wonder from level to level. The landlord could perhaps focus on the advantage of their location ( it's so close to nite spots and the party goers) as well as its close proximity to places like Singapore River. : >

Between the orchard counterpart, I would prefer to go to this because this one is near my working place and its generally less crowded as compared to the orchard one ( even when there is a discount going on).

Besides the usual offerings they have at the beauty counter, I m quite impressed with their retro section they have at level 2. The retro section carries vintage toys/cultery/decorative items and the piped music is usually some 30s 40s oldies to match the nostalgic feel. However from a business point of view, I reckon this idea may not sustain too long as the things being sold there tends to be a bit less practical.

I also like their beauty counter at level 1 because the layout is more spacious than the orchard outlet. No more collusion with other shoppers! I also get more 1 -1 time with the sale staff as the shopfront is less crowded and yet the selection is as good as the offerings at Orchard ( except I think they dun have "Benefit" at VIVO?).

A gd alternative in my opinion.
