Went to try out Arnold's fried chicken at City Plaza after afew friends told me about it, boy do the place reminds me when I'm at Malaysia!
You'll greeted by a nice waitress asking how many people and tell you where you will be seated. I asked about if there any 10% service, was told that the charge was counted in the menu already. So I do expect it to be much expensive than KFC or Dallas.
I ordered the 2pcs Chicken Meal Large A&W Rootbeer onion rings as side order. The drink(A&W Rootbeer) came first, followed by 2pcs chicken meal and then the Onion rings. Service was quite fast even tho it's full house on Thursday night.
I ate the coleslaw first, tasted not bad unlike the KFC ones hehe. Then the fries tasted abit plain, oh well. The chicken tasted nice, with the skin crispy and the meat is juicy which must put with chili sauce to match up with the taste~
Onion rings are nice too, when you bite it feels crispy and it's really hot. So I finished all 7 at one go.
Total cost me $11.10, not very filling but at least you leave with a smile since the food taste good.
Overall I guess this one gets 4/5 stars, feels abit wasted not to try the half spring chicken and should give more fries for a $6.10 2pc Chicken Meal since doesn't come with a drink.
Decided to have dinner at Carl Jr. @ Plaza Singapura since it's my first time going there. Boy didn't expect I would spend over $10 for a fast food meal!
I brought Charbroiled Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich meal(which comes with Med Coke and Natural Cut Fries) at $12.40.
Aside from the price, the Charbroiled Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich taste just about right, not really that salty or oily and the meat was juicy and tender. It taste even better with the chili sauce they provided.
The Natural Cut Fries taste good, you have to add some salt or pepper(depend on your preference). The fries had the size similar to mos burger and taste just like wedges, I guess due to the potato skin.
Overall I give this meal a 3.5/5 stars. Tho I wouldn't be eating everyday, otherwise there will be a huge hole in my pocket!
Went to IMM for deserts and we happened to walk pass this store and was interested to give it a try as they can let us try afew flavors before we decide to buy it.
I choose Durian and Dark Chocolate as my final choice and cone is just 50c more than the cup. I noticed the way they scooped the ice-cream is kinda out of this world. Which have to make the ice-cream stand upright and pointy like a spear. :D
My friend chooses Passion Fruit & Sea Salt with Caramel as his final choice. I guess different people has different taste. :P
The ice-cream was like cold and smoothing unlike the traditional ice-cream which is slightly harder. It will still melts like any other ice-cream, so I had to eat from the sides to prevent it from dripping. ^^;
Overall I'll give it a 4/5 stars, quite an unique experience for me. Never had ice-cream like this one before. ^_^
Went to Pepper Lunch at IMM for lunch today with a friend and we ordered the All in One Combo Specials. I ordered the Salmon & Chicken(added 50c for egg) that comes with a Salad, Pumpkin Soup and a Small cup of Pepsi.
The bean sprout was dry before adding the soya sauce and sweet sauce which I added for the chicken and salmon too. The chicken taste was somewhat not what I expected, it doesn't seem to have the taste I wanted. The salmon however tasted just right, it doesn't give off the strong fish smell as it was cooked to perfection. Egg was mixed with the bean sprout because I broke it while stirring the bean sprout around the plate. Bean sprout was okay too. Rice was cooked without any problems.
Didn't know the soup was Pumpkin until we confirmed with the staff at Pepper Lunch. The soup was nice, doesn't make you feel thirsty or anything and somewhat reminds me of corn soup tho corn is sweeter. You can never get enough of the soup and makes you wanting to order another one.
The Salad was just ordinary, just like any salad you see in most fast food outlets. Mixed well with thousand island.
I spend around $17.40 for my set lunch while my friend spends around $15.40 for his Cut Steak and Ham Burger.
Overall I give it a 3.5/5 stars, quite a satisfied experience. :D
Went to Dallas Chicken & Ribs last week(saturday) for the buffet but it seems like the buffet was fully booked and it will take awhile so I just ordered a normal set meal for myself.
1. Dallas Meal ($5.60) This meal comes with 2pcs of chicken(drumstick and breast meat), 2pcs of spicy chicken wings(smaller piece), one packet of fries and 1 can of A&W Rootbeer.
The first thing i have to try are the fries, no idea but I seem to forget to add the salt and pepper which was given for the fries, so it taste quite plain w/o the chili sauce. The fries reminds me of mos-burger big types. I'll give 3 out of 5 stars for this.
Next is the Chicken Drumstick and breast meat, the drumstick was okay just that it lacked meat while the breast meat was better and you can taste the juiciness of it. I like the skin of it too. Drumstick 2.5 out of 5 stars, Breast meat 3.5 out of 5 stars.
The 2pcs spicy wings are the same type of wings from the 8pcs spicy wings so read below.
2. 8pcs of spicy chicken wings ($4.80) Hmm the 2nd thing I tried after the fries, well it was quite good for a few bites, but i find it not spicy enough. Don't know why it was called Spicy wings even tho it wasn't. I'll give this 2 out of 5 stars..
3. Onion Rings ($1.50) Better eat this fast or it will turn cold and doesn't taste as good when it's hot. Not bad doesn't taste too oily and gives the onion aftertaste. 3 out of 5 stars for this.
Total damage $12.20, to me I think it was a cheap meal considered that I ordered that amount of food and I do feel full after eating. I would give 2.5 stars but since I can't choose half so 3 stars it is.
Abit of advice for those planning to eat the buffet at 3pm on weekends, call before 12pm to check if there is buffet or not, come before 2.30pm to book your seats and place your order and make payments in advance.
Tried to post this the 6th time now, if this still doesn't work I'm leaving yebber.
