Was introduced to this stall when our office shifted to Bishan. So, Shunfu became one of our regular lunch place. The smell as you step into the hawker centre is wonderful.
Understand that it is run by a few sisters who left their corporate world to start this business.
Their hot favourite is the chocolate and the banana muffins. There's always a long queue and normally those in the queue will buy abt 10 (tats a big box).
I hope that they will put up a sign to indicate the waiting time so that I dont end up queuing up and by the time its my turn to know that the muffins are all soldout and i have to wait for another 45 mins for the next batch.
Other than that, the muffins are soft and moist and we kept coming back for it.
I was at this outlet few months back entertaining the wife of my business associate. She wanted to have tea at a place that serves good desserts and coffee :)
We ordered their signature warm chocolate cake ($9.80) that is so sinful. It oozes of wonderful chocolate as you cut across the cake. We had it with vanilla ice-cream making it even more delectable and ever sinful.
We also had their mocha coffee ($5.80) enjoying sip of the drink while sharing a piece of the cake.
Their service was good and they even offered to find out for me Bakerzin outlets in KL.
Went there for ice cream with my family last Friday as I have free voucher from my insurance agent.
We arrived at the entry to find ourselves waiting for 5 minutes before I decided to walk into the restaurant to look for service waiters. I was then greeted abruptly by the Manager who jus brushed me aside asking me to wait outside. By the way, while waiting in the queue, there was service waiters around but they completely ignored us!
Anyway, we were then ushered to our table and they took our orders. We then witness another complaint scene a table next to us. A couple probably leaving already complaint about some problem with her food (she actually put it separately on apiece of tissue paper). I didnt exactly hear what was being said but she looked pretty angry.
Anyway, we had our ice cream and left. Was thinking whether was it the place was too big or was it insufficient waiters/waitresses or perhaps a case of disorganized team of people.
My daughter has been going to GUG since she was 8 months old until today and she is now 30 months.
She started off with Parents and Babes class and move on to Parents and Tots when she was abt 18 mths old. We should be going up to Tots class next term.
Teachers are great in GUG. In class, there will be two teachers and the kids. They allow one caregiver in each class. It's typically one half hour lesson comprises of Playtime, music, project, reading, phoenics!
Their teaching methods are highly recommended. My daughter can recognise letters now and able to make the sound. Zoophonics - character associated with animals are taught that actually help the child to pick up better. Eg. Ally - Alligator, Bubba - Bear, Catina - Cat and so on.
This place offers good australian fare at reasonable price.
Some of my recommendations include:
a) Fish & Chips
b) Blue Mountain burger
c) Fish Burger
d) Mad & Rich warm cake
e) wildboy banana cake
Youwont go wrong with my recommendations cos its all their signature dishes!

I would highly recommend GUG to new parents :)
