The KFC at Tiong Bahru Plaza is situated right at the back of Tiong Bahru Plaza on the 1st floor, so sometimes it could get "forgotten" here. There's quite alot of seats available here and during off peak hours, it can be quite a nice place to have a quiet lunch or for students to study as well. But after working hours, lunch hours etc, the place could get quite crowded too (esp the queue for ordering the food).
Overall, the place is quite clean and there's also a basin for people to wash their hands before/ after their meals. Nice place to chat and talk with friends over meal too.
The Mcdonalds at Tiong Bahru Plaza is always bursting with activities since students, teenagers and working adults like to eat here even though I think the location is not that ideal (it is not exactly situated inside Tiong Bahru Plaza and most of the shops outside of Tiong Bahru Plaza are not that crowded).
I love to hang out with my friends at the fast food places at Tiong Bahru Plaza when I was a student since Tiong Bahru Plaza was the nearest shopping centre near my school. Therefore, the place is quite crowded most of the time when students and teenagers and it is a good place to chill and catch up with friends while eating some food from Mcdonalds.
The Challenger at Tiong Bahru is not that big as compared to the one at Funan and there is limited amount of electronic goods you can find here, so usually if I am looking for a place where I can compare different brands, I would prefer going to the Challenger at Funan since it is much bigger and stock up a wider variety of goods and choices. Despite this, the Challenger at Tiong Bahru still have those normal electronic goods which you are looking for, ranging from mouse, bluetooth, router to printers, laptops, computer, camera, computer accessories etc. So it is quite convenient for people looking for normal electronic goods and do not need to compare between different brands.
Just like any other More Than Words shop, you will be able to find interesting items here which is why I like to drop by here whenever I am at Tiong Bahru Plaza, just to take a look around at the items they sell. The price for the items are really affordable as well, so it is quite a good place to get small items and shop for small gifts for other people.
Recently they started selling earphones and headphones that looked really good and I was quite surprised by how cheap it was selling for (not sure about the sound quality though since I've not tried or bought them yet). And they also sell cute notebooks (those that have design that looked like ancient chinese transcript) and the price was affordable for students as well.
I find More Than Words quite a nice place to look around and the store is not crammy, so browsing around is quite comfortable.
Being a supermarket in Tiong Bahru Plaza, NTUC Fairprice is a really convenient stop for the residences living near the neighbourhood and most residence could just drop by Tiong Bahru Plaza to shop for their daily necessities, household goods etc. Its location is really accessible and convenient you could almost get all your daily necessities you need here.
However, there are not alot of cashiers available,so sometimes the queue for the cashier could get quite long especially after office hours or during the weekends.
