Even though Long John Silver is smacked right at the entrance of Tiong Bahru Plaza, it is not that crowded most of the time which is why I like eating here when I need some quiet time alone. I have tried studying here before too, and it is really not a bad place to study at.
The place is not that big and the tables (esp the ones at the front) are quite cramped together, but the place is quite clean and trays are cleared promptly after people leave.
I frequent here and got to say that sometimes the quantity of the food is not that consistant. My friend and I ordered the same combo meal once and my serving of fries were obviously much more than hers... It would be good if they make it more consistant....
Still it is a good place to dine at since the place is not that noisy or crowded.

Donut Factory opened an outlet at Tiong Bahru Plaza along with the donut craze when it hit Singapore last time. But now the craze had died down and it is so much easier to get the donuts without having to queue for ages to get the donuts. I have only bought donuts once from this outlet even thought it is near my house, but from what I remembered the donuts didn't seem to taste as good as the ones I queued for hours for at Suntec.
I will give it an average rating first for the time being since the donut taste average (not comparing it to the donuts at other Donut Factory outlet but comparing it to donuts from other shops).

The Mr Bean at Tiong Bahru is only a small stall located at the basement of Tiong Bahru. Got to admit that, at first, while looking at the menu, I thought isn't it gross to mix soya bean with watermelon, grass jelly, pearl etc? But I am glad I give those drinks a chance and gave it a try in the end because it taste good. I've tried Grass Jelly Soya Milk, Pearly Soya Milk, Watermelon Soya Milk and they're not bad. Not forgetting the normal Soya milk and the pancakes. And yes, the Soya Ice Cream is really quite nice as well.
I'd probably give other items on the menu a try next time....

Even though Tiong Bahru Plaza is the nearest shopping centre from my house, I barely watch movie at this Golden Village at Tiong Bahru as I will try my best not to watch movies here if I could.

I have watched movies here a few times before (years ago) and the thing I remembered most was that the seat was really uncomfortable. Halfway through the movie, I kept fidgeting about in my seat since it was so uncomfortable and I couldn't find a comfortable position to stay in. Leg room was small and the sound effect for the movie was too loud too.

Didn't really enjoy my experience watching movies here, so now I barely watch it here and I believe it has been quite some time since I've caught a movie here.

I have always been hearing my friends talk about the meatballs at IKEA for the longest period of time, saying how nice it was and it is a must-try when eating at IKEA, but the thing was that I didn't eat beef until recently.....

So I told myself I just had to try the Swedish Meatballs at IKEA some time soon and I visited IKEA recently and finally had a taste of the the Swedish Meatballs. At first I thought I won't be full eating just meatballs since it looked like the whole dish was just made up of a few meatballs on the plate and I could easily finish it, but I was wrong... The meatballs were actually very filling and yes, it was nice! I like the jam that came with the meatballs and eating the meatballs together with the jam is delicious.

I'll definitely go for the meatballs again on my next visit to IKEA.
