Borders bookstores are really scarce in Singapore, with only 2 outlets in Wheelock Place and Parkway Parade to date,compared to the widespread Popular bookstores.

However, the book spread is good and most of the books are unwrapped, so feel free to take a browse. The children's section at the Parkway Parade outlet is padded so its quite comfortable and generally clean to plop down on the floor to browse though books.There are also black leather chairs to sit in in case all the reading standing up takes a strain on your legs. It is a well-welcomed initiative as many bookstores here do not have the policy and would rudely shoo you away if you happen to sit along the aisle.

The collection of books is magnificent and vast due to the store's space and the store also stocks a large range of the latest CDs. I liked how all the books are arranged in alphabetical order to easy finding.

There is also a dedicated information service where you can request assistance to find you wanted book.

Borders frequently features new book releases, like the popular teen-adult vampire Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyer. Pre-orders can then be made for the books.
