I went there when they just opened not long ago. They were at a corner beside the toilet, just nice to be blocked by the escalator.
So i was thinking the queue was quite short, i might give it a try. I waited 45 minutes for them, and after trying, I think the reason why so many people like it was due to the cheap price, variety, freshness and soft donuts that they served.
And of cos, you will have to eat them fresh, or else, u will have to heat them up again when you are going to eat it.
But i dun really think that they are worth queueing for. Just for the experience, maybe. . .

Finally, we get down to business and do a write up on none other then the coveted Donut Factory. Currently available in only 2 locations in town, this orange box means you've either lined up for 2 hours or more for your favorite little fried pastry. I'd like to reiterate once again, i am not a donut lover and asking me to line up for 2 hours for a donut is a suggestion bordering on insane. However, i did find a smaller queue on this very fortunate day and so, we queued, waited and scored!
After an astonishingly long wait of...... 15 minutes (!!!!), i got my hands on a huge assortment of donuts from this famous and much talk about pastry chain. That's right, 15 minutes was all it took and thats a far cry from what i've been told. Even better, most of the flavors were present, i bought 2 boxes of 12 and the other box had the Double Chocolate flavor, which is deemed one of the most popular items.
Anyway, as of present, i have tasted 2 flavors with the third gone before i could try. They are the peanut butter glazed donut, the Raspberry dark chocolate and the spicy cheese flavored donut.
Peanut butter glazed donut has a generous filling of peanut butter within and has a nice glazed surface of sugar which really enhances the taste but may come across as a tad too sweet for some.
The raspberry dark chocolate tasted normal in the beginning as i couldn't make out the dark chocolate nor raspberry taste. Its saving grace came about halfway through the donut when its thick, sweet and sour raspberry filling oozed out for a satisfying spin on the taste.
Finally, the spicy cheese flavored was devoured by my mom very quickly while she kept exclaiming how fragrant and tasty it was as compared to the other donut company i've been reviewing.
Across the board, i believe the main difference in their offerings is the quality of the dough. It was uniformly softer and less porous when compared to other donuts i've had at this point. The fillings it offers also packs a stronger punch as compared to other would be imitators. Delightful!
Does it live up to the hype? In terms of donuts, the answer is a resounding YES.
Can waiting 2 hours for its donuts be justified? Unfortunately, i would say no. At least not for the flavors i've had thus far. Donuts are known for being quick munchies and for stemming pangs of hunger, they are not known as a luxury item that demands a long waiting time. =P I suppose the next donut comparison will probably be the original Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme in USA. Till then, the Donut Factory can tide you over till you get the real thing.

Eversince Donut Factory started it's main branch at Raffles City, I've yet to try them because I'm put off by the queue. It's crazy having to queue 2 hours just to get a dozen donuts.
So, when they decided to open a branch at Suntec City, I was thrilled that the queue was shorter & it moved much faster. Or was it due to the fact that I went during dinnertime? Hmmm...
Anyway, I bought a dozen back for my boyfriend & family & it's the first time I'm trying them out.
I must say, it's quite a disappointment from all the raves they've been receiving. I find the donuts not up to my expectations. Some are just too sweet. Yes, they're fluffy & soft, thus I'm gonna give them points for that. Other than that, I don't find them that yummy.
If you were to ask me whether I'll get them again, I think I'll hafta think about it.
Give me Dunkin' Donuts anytime. Why did all the branches for DD closed down? Sigh.

When it started out, I did not think highly of Donut factory and don't understand the big who-ha about it. And won't even queue for more than an hour for donuts. However, I tried it one day as my mom brought it back. To my amaze, this shop sells good donuts. As the donuts are fluffy and soft, the jam and glaze is just nice, not too sweet.

My sister yesterday brought back 6 donuts from donut factory. The queue at both outlets alwasy puts me off so I dun even bother to queue for it. After all, I have tasted Krispy Kreme and thinks that nothing can beats that.
Since she did not buy my fav which is apple cinemmon, I ate a blue berry one instead. Well it turn out to be good compared to others that I have eaten in Singapore less Krispy kreme of course. I put it in the toaster for a few mins to warm it up. It turned out to be soft and fluffy the way I like it, the topping , like, others, found it too be a little too sweet.
My mum ate the one with almond flakes and she became a fan of it. Asking me to buy more of it the next time round.
Update (2 Nov 07):
I decided to queue for donuts for my very first time last thursday @ Suntec City. Guess what? There is no queue and I managed to get my donuts in 5 mins flat. Haa... I bought 2 dozens in record time I think. Haa.....
Well I still stand by Krispy Kreme still remians 1st in my heart while Donut Factory is a near second. Still I dun think queueing a few hours for the donuts is worth it!

I went to Korea for an exchange last summer and had krispy kreme there almost every day for breakfast or supper. It was really good. I can say the best donuts I've eaten ever =D
So when I came back to Singapore, I really missed this daily treat alot. Then I heard about this donut craze here in singapore too, DONUT FACTORY! but everytime I walked past the outlet in Raffles City, the queue was so long that I did not feel like waiting. So never had the chance to taste the donuts.
Until this outlet at Suntec! I was randomly shopping around at Suntec when I realised that people were carrying boxes of donuts walking around! So my friend and I decided to go take a look. Lo and behold, there was an outlet there and the queue was not long at all. It took perhaps only about 10 minutes to get to the counter and the staff was very efficient.
At first I was still worried that I would not be able to buy the hot favourite flavours that I've long heard about. But it turned out that the donuts were stocked up very fast with like up to 6 staff baking in the kitchen! In the end I bought a box of a dozen donuts. 4 double chocs, 2 peanut dark choc, Lotus Mocha, Spicy Cheese, mint choc and I can't remember what else as I just asked the staff to give me 1 each of the remaining flavours. haha but I can say that they were all soft and fluffy, fresh and delicious donuts! i particularly liked the double choc where the choc inside oozes out when you bite into it. and the spicy cheese which gave a really different feel to the donut, especially for cheese lovers like me!
Finally a chance to satisfy my donut craving and I can say it's almost as good as Krispy Kreme. Not to mention that you can get them quite fast. Think the staff is rather efficient, only that the cashier is quite slow. Heh. But overall, I had quite a good experience there. Next time I go, I'll probably go try out those stuff on the menu. Looking foward to the donut set meals =)

I've been there twice.Despite the bustling crowd I still got fresh donuts. It's way way better getting your donuts at Suntec then at Raffles. The staffs there are more efficient and systematic helping to not waste time waiting.
The double choc is the best!!It's selling like hot cakes too!!Been trying different donuts from diff stores and find Donut factory the Best!!
Way to go!!
